unfortunately the less fashion work pays more than the high fashion work despite the fact that many of the ads usually come out looking less than desirable.
I have to disagree-I thought that the Kate Moss Nikon ad was great.

madonna for h&m is such a bad idea. no one who looks at those ads will seriously believe that she wears those clothes.

same thing happened when gap signs Sarah Jessica Parker and theyall but fired her because she didnt work as a spokesperson

Isabeli's Revlon is a sure thing. It was already launced in New York and she was with Eva Mendes. I don't know about Heather

Well Madonna did Gap a few years back with Missy Elliott. I don't recall whether sales spiked up or down with those ads. At least one thing will be accomplished with Madonna if she is doing H&M. There'll be lots of buzz about it and that's half the battle with an ad campaign.

I can't wait to see the ads then:flower:

It seems like models are really pushing back against the actresses and grabbing those beauty contracts. Liya and Carolyn for Estee Lauder, Natalia V and Doutzen for L'Oreal, Daria for Lacome, Isabeli and Heather for Revlon, Tiiu for CoverGirl...good news for models.

I've found that Covergirl has had a lot of great model ads, between Tiiu, Angela, and Tasha. Revlon-well it's great that they're using models again. L'Oreal-I actually have only seen Natalia's Colour Pulse ads (I use that dye BTW thanks to her) but Cintia was PERFECT for HIP.

And don't forget Adriana for Maybelline.

Niki Taylor was soooooooo successful for Covergirl in the early-mid 1990s, I wonder if they've approached KK for a contract. She certainly shares a resemblance with Niki.

^ No way, happycanadian. Sorry to disagree with you, but the reason why Nikki was so successful is that she had all sorts of "faces" to give to the camera. Nikki could be shy and playful, sexy and grown up, Miami beach bunny, cool older sister, etc. But Karolina? Although the resemblance in the mole/hair color is there, Karolina's "faces" seriously lack character. She can only do sexy, and that's about it. In my mind, she has two faces: smiling and non-smiling as outlined by that interesting UK Vogue issue in 2001. Those two faces would never work in promoting Covergirl products.

It's nice that models are getting makeup campaigns again, but now they are losing all the actual advertsiments to celebrities!

When push comes to shove, I think that Versace campaigns should be judged on a different standard than say Marc Jacobs campaigns or Michael Kors. Versace is sl*tty. So are the clothes of Roberto Cavalli. I don't think that we should ever even expect to see chic and intellectual looks in brands like that- we should simply judge them on a scale of how well done the sluttiness looks ;)

BUNDCHEN CASH

GISELE BUNDCHEN may have turned her attention to saving the Amazon's Xingu River earlier this week, but she's still raking in the cash. The Brazilian supermodel is rumoured to have posed for a new advertising campaign for Apple in New York last week, which will have banked her more than a million. As well as talking about the shoot on her website, Gisele also mentions her new contract with Dolce & Gabbana. Apparently wanting a degree of exclusivity, the Italian designers waited until her deal with Louis Vuitton came to an end before signing her (and paying her $2 million, we hear), to be the face of their new The One fragrance, which was inspired by her, too. :p
Niki was a fabulous model and one of the most gorgeous women ever. KK is my favourite, but i think Niki was staggerinly beautiful as well, and a great model/spokesperson for Covergirl. in no way am i attempting to make this a competition between the 2, for that's not at all necessary. i'm just educating you on KK, in the hopes of earning her a new fan.

so enjoy and i suspect that you'll find shy/playful/grown-up/sexy (and even "miami beach bunny") in these pics. :flower:
