F/W 06.07 Ad Campaigns

Damn..why can't Louis Vuitton use models??? Does anyone remember that amazing campaign back in spring/summer 2004...Kate Moss, Karen Elson, Angela Lindvall, Naomi Campbell, Liya Kebede, Amber Valetta..am i missing anyone? ...anyways..they were all in the desert with their fierce poses and i was like WOW!!!!!!! :woot:

Please, Marc Jacobs...bring back those wonderful kind of ads...i don't hate actresses, but models belong in ads...they do it so well...no one can even compare to them :D Actresses in movies, models in ads, and everything will be fabulous :flower:

I really loved that ad! It was just wonderful.

^There're plenty of people with insider information on the industry around TFS...versace baby has provided plenty of reliable information before, so she's definitely trustworthy!

I actually also know that Balenciaga is shooting soon  I just need to know who's involved!

cool, i will take your word on it, i just know that advertisements wise, balenciaga has limited resources, or atleast in the past it has, with the success of the spring line i guess we can expect to see more ads,but this fallwinter line was almost entirely coats, so i dont see commercial success happening for balenciaga outside of the fashion community and the balenciaga exhibit will force the fashion community to take part in the heritage of the house so i don't think ads are necessary...

^Ah, logical and well-spoken -- I see what you mean now :) It'd be an interesting campaign, that's for sure.

^I agree, but I also don't think Louis Vuitton is all about class (Just IMO, though ;))...I'm actually somewhat surprised at the rest of the list myself.

Now that I think of it it's the others who are in the wrong place! Du Juan and the rest just ain't the same look, it'll be interesting to see how it'll turn out though! I'm excited for this campaign!

i hope Mona J gets some stuff. It doesnt have to be major stuff, just as long as we get to see her do some print ads, I'll be happy ^_^

I think we'll see more Balenciaga ads. Balenciaga is now one of the hottest brands and especially their bags are selling really well! Now that the brand is succesful, the Gucci Group is willing to invest more on ad campaign. I usually love Balenciaga's line up. I have this feeling we'll see Coco, Bette, Freja and Irina for Balenciaga.

Sorry but I don't believe Du Juan will be doing YSL. They're never using Asian models and I don't think they want Du Juan now she's doing Vuitton. I even can hardly believe she's doing Vuitton! I'll have to wait and see the campaign before I believe it. I also heard that Bernard Arnault (CEO of LVMH) has to approve all the LV campaigns first. When he is not satisfied, they'll have to shoot again. So it's not only Marc and/or casting directors who decide which models they use.

I find that YSL-Juan rumour a bit unbelivable too...It would be good news if it would be true though.

ericyoung works for Vogue China and knows Du Juan personally, though. He's also provided all the most accurate/updated information for her, especially in regards to China runways, so I tend to believe him -- but we'll see ^^
