Snejana reminds me so much of Louise Despointes, the notorious Dior make-up model of the 70s.

Who is LD and why was she notorious? Was she exclusive to Dior? I've never heard of her, which doesn't really mean anything.

She's notorious because of her self-confessed life style. After modeling she started a modeling agency and it didn't work out. But maybe notorious is too strong a word since it's impossible to find info on her on the internet. Anyway, I just think she's fab in a twisted way. She was exclusive to Dior cosmetics from 1973 to 1980 or so - really whacky ads, some of the best, I'll post a few later

From a distance I really like the Gucci campaign.. looks promising. I agree about Iselin, she is totally miscast.. well I guess she is Frida's new gucci woman.

IMO at least Snejana can reference old school glamour.. ie Greta Garbo.. I get nothing from Iselin and I don't get how she is so huge in modelling.

I think Iselin and Gucci is a good match - ****** ad and all - just look at the eds she puts out there. I'm not her greatest fan, but I can see why she keeps getting all the right jobs.

I'm not super keen on Sneja either, but I think the pair of them will make for an interesting campaign.

Right, Im not sure if this is Chanel Fall...but I think it might be pre fall...I saw it in German Elle, and it has the Pre Fall Dolce&Gabbana ads on the next page, so I think this might be pre-fall Chanel as Im sure its not Spring/Summer 06...

FRIDA GIANNINI, creative director of Gucci, has replaced her pretty, breezy springtime models with glam rock-inpired rock chicks for the autumn/winter 2006-7 campaign. "It's a whole different feeling," she told WWD. "It's as if the girls were leaving one party to head to a club. To me, it's very new for Gucci." The campaign, shot by Craig McDean and featuring models Islein and Snejana, will appear in September issues worldwide.
