Yes, i agree with you on that and Donatella & Testino will do most likely as well, Jac has talent for sure but is too young-looking for the Versace mainline campaign. I wouldn't mind to see her for a Versace fragrance, too.

I know Monika is too young to be representing a label like Versace, but I can't just help that after seeing her at the label's shows, I think she'd be great.
Oh and I'm glad Shu Pei got Gap. That's great!

^I agree with you. Monika maybe is young but she fits Versace really well. She did two shows for Versace and in both she looked great. Besides there are many girls, who are doing this campaign, so if one of them will be Monika there no drama for me.

Ps. I've got a filling that Meisel did sth with her.

Ah sorry, totally mixed those two campaigns up! Well, Juicy Couture and Baby Phat are both rather Harlem-couture, no? Who's shooting Baby Phat, then?

Oh thanks so much... i got confused there. Juice couture is more for Ebola Hilton and Baby Phat is more for Nicki Minaj.. if you get my drift ^_^.

Because its a brand that sells clothes, that has cutomers. Why not?
he is a photographer, whats wrong with taking pictures?
Maybe he wants to contribute to changing the image of these brands.

Some of the comments here are quite snobby, like certain lables are only fit for peasants...

I don't mean to be snobby I just don't think Steven Meisel could really do anything for Kimora.. really. The type of clothes/photography of Baby Phat is more suited for David LaChappelle in my opinion.

shes turned down ad campaigns before?

I can't remember where I read it now but there was a mag article a few years back that interviewed some kind of marketing co. that help finagle contracts between movie stars and brands/fashion houses. One of the workers said that Portman was considered a "holy grail" of sorts but, up til that point, she'd made it clear through her ppl that she wasn't interested in shilling for brands. (Which makes sense as, among young actresses, she has one of the best reps without really trying. It can't be that she wasn't in demand.)

Hence why she and Michelle Williams acted in that "Greed" perfume parody spoof directed by Polanski -- because neither of them did that kind of stuff.

You think so? I can't imagine that pre-recession houses didn't have the cash to bag Portman if that was what she wanted. Unless she wants to buy an island now or something...

I see Natalie as a Lanvin girl, mainly because she's been wearing a lot of Lanvin on the red carpet.
I can't really picture her for Dior. In the end, she couldn't care less about which brand she's promoting I guess, as long as they show the $$$. Dior and celebrities is such a random pairing anyway, they just want any A list celeb

i echo everyone else.. Monika for Versus or Versace Jeans Couture maybe.. but not mainline.. Versace mainline = sexy woman, not pretty girl...

I haven't really payed attention to what she wears on the red carpet, but I agree that she would make a good Lanvin girl. She has that silky/glossy look. I don't know how to describe it better.

Did TI not say that Versace was going for newer girls. Donatella seems to like Charlotte DiCalypso and Yulia K. I think they'd be quite cool.

TI said that the Versace cast was Top 50 forces with newly breaking stars. :innocent:

Kirsty has been quite busy in the past few months, also shooting the F/W 2010 Fay Campaign with Tim Walker, Love Magazine with Angelo Panetta and Pop Magazine with Jamie Morgan. You can expect to see more from this iconic face in upcoming seasons.

I'm begining to love Jac but i REALLY wouldnt want to see her in anything MAJOR like Balmain or Hermes, and especially not VERSACE(I would faint) but Alberta Ferretti, Bottega Veneta, Missoni, or Etro wouldnt be too far out of her league

how would balmain hermes or even versace be out of her league :S
she was og in 2 consecutive calvin klein main line campaigns, and she has already been featured in a hermes campaign...

im having an eerie feeling about this versace campaign. i smell jac jac. only because the girls she cast in her shows this season were very much along that kind of aesthetic... though who knows

nothing is outta monika's league certainly not Versace.if Georgia can get Versace every model is fair game.it's time we accept that the brand is no longer about 'sexy women'.:innocent:

Haha i agree with you on the Georgia part. However i would love to see sexy women instead of beautiful young girls. Well, why it's taking sooo long.

^ The clothes are about sexy women, the campaigns are about A-List celebrities. Versace has always used celebrities in their campaigns, it's a signature of theirs. Gianni Versace was a top contributor to the Supermodel-Celebrity phenomenon and loved using big name because Versace is all about glitz, glamour and dressing for fame.

Sure, Georgia is not exactly model material and has ugly teeth but she's young and she's famous; a winning formula for a campaign. Who the hell is Jac? She's practically a nobody. This is why she doesn't fit Versace.
