They do take anything you wear somewhere else, but I've re-visited the web of that brand and it's completely different.

I had a pair of off-white heels that became more off than white after a few nights out... so I came up with the idea of spraying them another color (silver) and now they look brand new .

Of course, I would never do this with a pair of designer heels but for making over a pair of budget shoes the spraypaint is a quick and easy way of updating them.

I have a fantastic small black bag that used to be covered with leather flakes. And when almost all of them were fallen, I send it to shoemaker and he removed flakes. My bag was safe - now it's pure leather.

^^Softgrey, you can get oil out of that t-shirt.

I had oil stains on a pair of pants recently and read that if you massage dishwasher soap (like Dawn) into the stain, let it sit for 2-3 minutes, and hand wash the soap off in warm water the oil can be removed.

^^yeah- dawn is supposed to have stuff in it that lifts grease/oil...

so...
i had this lovely beige coloured knit top from t. yamai that i loved loved loved...
one day i took it out to wear it...
in fact...i went out wearing it...
and when i got into the sunlight- i could see these odd dark stains...
i don't know what they were or how they got there...
but my lovely top seemed ruined forever...

i washed it and washed it...but it didn't get better...
so i just kept it in the laundry trying to figure out what to do because i couldn't bear to let it go just yet...

this weekend i have been on a laundry rampage...
washing and washing and washing...
everything!!!...


so i decided for some reason to put the beige top into the wash with the whites and some bleach!...

......

guess what?!...
the stain is totally gone and the top is still beige!...
woohoo!!!...tragedy reversed!!!...



oh joy!...

i loaned an old school helmut lang blzr to a friend...
it's ivory cotton...one button...very man tailored with a narrow lapel...

she wore it and returned it...
it was in plastic, so i assumed it was all fine and put it away in the closet...

i took it out the other day and found a small food stain on the sleeve and on the front of the jkt...
...

i used some stain remover but had no luck...
took it to the dry cleaner but had no luck...
the dry cleaner is trying one more time...
fingers crossed that this works because i would be very sad if this lovely jkt got ruined...
i've never even worn it myself!...
...

*this is the reason why, as much as i love ivory clothing...
i also hate it!...

damn dry cleaner completely wrecked the Helmut Lang blazer...
cracked all the buttons and puckered the seams. I think they must have laundered it and then tried to put it in an industrial press...
freaking idiots~!

i did go and get some more of that OXY clean powder and soaked a few things so they look like new again...

i was sad because i thought that it was starting to look a bit worn because i wear it so much...but now it's completely refreshed!...
wore it again yesterday...it's one of my most favourite things...

My cat wanted some attention, and instead of me he jumped my favorite knitted sweater. So now it has a big loop (not sure if that's the right word in English) in it. I never wore the sweater when the cat was around, the one time I don't take it of when I get home he manages to scar it.

Not that it's beyond repair, but the fact that it needs to get repaired (and time it usually takes for me to get it repaired..) is frustrating enough .

If it's an open enough knit, you can try to "catch" the thread from the inside and pull it in. With a crochet needle is easier. If it's a tighter knit, then a fat threaded needle might do the trick.

i have a happy story---
i have a comme comme blk wool jersey cardigan with scalloped edges that i got at the Dover St Mkt in London right when it first opened...

i loved this thing but this fabric is the first thing that a moth will go for and they went for it!......

so sad...
BUT---
i left it in a bag and i guess the moths went to town...
and now it has so many more gorgeously placed little holes of varying sizes and shapes that it looks like a work of art and as though it was meant to be that way in the first place...
i just took it out of the wash and it's good to go again!!!...
yattah...!!!

I'm sooo sad, my really nice dusty pink Levi's jean ripped off on the waist and all the seams are very weak. I'm thinking about repairing them because I love those pants so much, or maybe it's time to buy a new pair...
