I love Fiona....I met her earlier this year at one of her shows.....she is a beautiful person to look at in person....she is so very nice....The funny thing is days before the show I was coming out from a local grocery store and I was pointing out to my boyfriend how this woman who was walking into the grocery store looked like Fiona Apple.....Anyways...the moment that Fiona and I shared I mentioned to her that my boyfriend hacked in to the internet and downloaded her original version of the Extraordinary Machine and she laughed and said..."well good for him that he did that for you"......
I thought that was so cooooooll B)

Wasn't the leaked version alot more experimental? I read in Nylon when she was on the cover that she used bells or something. I think some of the songs on the released version are very pretty but I am really keen on hearing some of the original versions...bleu,are you still interested in sharing them? Is it as drastically different as I've heard?

The leaked version is definitely more experimental, but i think it's been played up a little too much. For the most part, they are actually very similar.

The original version of "Extraordinary Machine" (and "Waltz") are on the released album. Those 2 songs weren't re-recorded.

She's opening for Cold Play and I'd love to see her play, but they aren't coming anywhere near me.

Extraordinary Machine has become my favorite cd of hers.

she's been one of my favorites for so long and it's just now occurred to me to look for a thread on her

i think "tidal" was the first CD i ever bought for myself.. and definitely one of the most listened to... it's still great to listen to today, and I honestly can't say that about a lot of the other CDs I've bought over the years

Tidal is in my All-Time Top 10 (along with Urban Hymns, Achtung Baby, etc.). I remember when my mother purchased it when it was still selling for $5.99 at Wal Mart, before any of the singles became big.
