what are your thoughts? (you know, wide legs that end at midcalf.) i don't own any, but i'm thinking about getting some this fall to wear with tall-ish boots. will i end up looking like a clown?

i like jupe culotte
gaucho pants are they the same thing?
they were big last fall , they never really hit here in L.A
fred segal carried them, thats a bout it. i say go for it.
they look good with boots ands flats too

they look great if you are tall and real slim and its your style ;) i'd say go for them

they are like riding pants, right? I used to have a khaki cordroy pair that laced all the way to my knees and confess i wore that to death
(but i need to lose few erhh  inches before i go for a revival :P )

Is this what you mean? I like this look. I wear knee-high boots w/cropped trousers. Mine don't flair out this much though.

hmm  i was thinking of riding pants, i guess i was wrong.. this kind that astrid posted  not for me, i dont like cropped pants, i think they make even the tallest girl look short

yes astrid! that's the look. only i have in mind to wear something more slim fitting on top. i can remember seeing gwyneth in a pair on dave about 2 years ago and i thought it was the strangest look. now i'm wanting to copy it.

I think I know what you're talking about. That's where I got the inspiration for my version. :flower: In this pic she's wearing them with a slimmer leg.

I like them but I dount liek to much flair.

I prefer this look

I love the flaired out pant leg - I don't think I would wear it though, I don't have the legs to pull it off, :P

the ones spacemiu posted look kind of like 1920's golfer-style knickerbockers. both styles have the potential to be adorable, but don't really seem to flatter many body types. but if you have to body for it, go for it. B)

I've seen gauchos come and go a few times and I've never been a fan myself. I just don't think that they are terribly flattering, although worn with boots in a similar colour as in the pics look OK.

But if you love them, don't worry about what anyone else thinks, go for it! :flower:

i love the ones spacemiu posted

the rest have been around since last winter -to match the boot od craze- but i don't like them much

still like charlotte says, yes, absolutely go for it if you like them (get a cheap H&M or Zara version to try 'out' the look in a cheap way, then invest in better quality ;) )

I love Spacemiu's version..I got a pair from Banana Republic, in black silk. they are terribly elegant, yet sporty ;)

Linday Lohan, Jessica Simpson, and Mary Kate Olsen have all been seen wearing them. I kinda like them. What do you all think?

I kinda like them. Although I think it depends on what you wear them with. Out of the 3 people you mentioned I especially like the pants on MK.

Personally, I wouldn't be caught dead in them :yuk: but that's me. They do look god on some people, though...

i like them alot actaully- they look really nice with little flat shoes
