I love her. She's my favorite on the social set. I don't care where she's from, she's is here now and she's fabulous. I don't see why being born into some special circle is so important, the society set should be more inclusive. I love Genevieve's clothes and her attitude. She's much more interesting than most of the other girls in that group. I saw her in person a few months back and she is really just fierce to a fault. Even if she wasn't known on the social set I think she'd still become famous, she just has that aura.

She should see about her future though. The party thing won't last. It never does.

Wise words Luxx...^_^

I totally agree. Plus, she's just so little and cute. ^_^

WOW. She has great style. Very attractive, and shes aging so well. I cant believe she is 31! Anyhoo, i really like her in short dresses and pumps. DO GEN! I also hope she attains some type of education, because even Nan Kempner had something to fall back on. I really do see her surpassing Paris in the social set and becoming more of a Nan Kemp-ite.

May i ask what scandal???

The Wall Street Journal wrote an article about her that set off a bunch of speculation about her. She's in her early 30s (not her 20s as she claimed). She didn't go to college. She doesn't come from money (as she alleged; when asked about how she supports herself she said "her parents love her"). People have said that he money comes from a married man (Francisco Clemente), not her parents. So her entrance into society is sort of controversial. Personally, I don't consider her a socialite, rather the "it" girl or party girl of the moment.

How isnt she a SOCIALITE when is gracing all the social circles that matter, with her presence, i thought was a requirement for SOCIALITE status?:innocent:

So she's a classier Paris Hilton. At least her fashion sense is better.

OoOH very interesting. Thanks for the info!!

I have to say that all that makes her even more appealing in some way.I truly like her, love her style and the whole look. She is so much more interesting than any other socialite today, she just has that;"je ne sais quoi".Yes i do consider her socialite she is excepted by high society,is at all the parties and is doing everything that others society girls do.She is just lovely.

Love,love seeeing her in Vogue!

Not every one at these events is a socialite. I like Genevieve but she doesn't have the pedigree of a TRUE socialite. Think about it: do we have pics of her at major social events like the black and white ball or the frick or the MOMA costume ball? I haven't seen any. That's why I call her a party girl. She's not a Hearst or Vanderbilt or one of those girls with family money.

Are we really saying "pedigree" today?  I would not consider her an HEIRESS but socialite definitly fits the bill.

imo, there is nothing remotley pretty about her, but I do love some of her outfits. However, there is one picture; post#86 where she looks quite beautiful.
