Giles Deacon F/W 10.11 Paris

i thought the collection was amazing and
it was different but all of it was extremely wearable

I love some of the cocktail numbers. And yes, this is so 60s.

Very hit and miss for me. Those puff type jackets/vest are
But the dresses at the beginning and the end are lovely.
I don't get why he's in Paris. It just seems weird.

^yeah but he did the Dino bag for Spring and thats been produced and everyone wants one, to be ironic, like honeycombchild said irony is just another term for hideousness

Yes he produced the Dino bag but his stuff isn't widely available enough for us to worry. I haven't even seen it for sale online. Basically, its nothing we have to fear seeing on a ton of people or getting knocked off by H&M. I think we should be more worried about the bag with the cloud print on it. It has a lot broader appeal.

I love this collection. The cloud cutout on Coco is my favorite, it epitomizes everything I love about Giles. He takes this cartoony motif (the clouds) and creates a beautiful, wearable, and well constructed piece from it. He isn't resting on beautifully made clothes or gimmicky graphics, he combines them into something that is unique to him.

i'm sorry but nothing outstanding ...

and for those who're interested in "why does Giles show in Paris, and not LDN" ... well, last year he won a french prize and was invited to show in Paris. I have no idea what is good for french fashion industry in this ... seriously.

seriously weird casting...i do love Coco's bag, though, can't wait to see a close-up

THANK YOU! i love it! the clothes really have a flow to them, in motion. breezy-chic. very elegant and old-school-glamour.

loved the last dress on Alessandra.

Stunt casting to cover a seriously boring collection .
