This is all so random. As I said in another thread, they had many better choices for this than Ariana who I don't recall wearing Givenchy a lot: they should have chosen Gal Gadot, who attends every show, wore Givenchy at the MET and is a very classy woman but she also represents a modern female heroine, or Lily Collins, a young, beautiful actress that actually reminds of Audrey thanks to her looks and poise, she also wears clothes very well and her Givenchy looks at the MET and at the BAFTAS were incredible.
Yes but Erykah Badu or Julia Roberts were there for the prestige. It’s a long term vision... Much like Julia Roberts doing Lancôme or Erykah Badu doing Tom Ford.Givenchy isn't shy of unusual celebrity faces for the advertisements, I recall seeing Julia Roberts and Erykah Badu once during Riccardo tenure. Which seemed more out of admiration.
But Ariana as the face seems more similar to Selena Gomez for Louis Vuitton. A wise business decision but an odd pairing.

And weirdly, they fit the aesthetic of Givenchy...much like Isabelle Huppert and all.
I don’t know if it’s a wise decision because Clare hasn’t defined a vision yet. Her Givenchy is very associated with The Dutchess.
If Ariana Grande was the face of the make-up line, it could have made sense because she has a signature beauty look. Her fashion sense is non-existent. In those shots, what stand-out the most is her signature beauty look.
You aren’t prepared for that....who did the styling ? This is so wrong on so many levels...
