THANK YOU! Finally someone who agrees with me. Don't even get me started about Vanessa Hudgens fans on fanforum who have threads DEVOTED to her stumpy things.

Back to style though, I actually would think it to be fun if Eric Daman tried making the style more youthful for Blair and Serena and Chuck while still keeping it high end and stylish. I've been the same age as the characters the entire series, and while it is heightened reality, my friends and I, who are all hugely obsessed with fashion and know a lot about it and actually own a lot of the same pieces these characters do, find it hard to imagine wearing our pieces the way the girls do. Watching the SAT episode was hysterical--like a 17 year old would wear what Blair wore to take her SATs. Even the scenes when they're walking down the street, it's like, you're supposed to be 18! College students wear moccasins, jeans or sweatpants and sweaters to class not dresses and heels. But having said all that, I love the show and it's great escapism--entertainment wise and fashion wise.

That's all so true- but I always hope maybe some kids will be inspired to upgrade in some ways! Even if it isn't designer clothes, good grooming and making an effort would be very nice...

Those promo's are terrible! Vanessa look like a man in drag and the hunched pose doesn't help and Blair looks like a corpse.

I dont think it's really supposed to be completely realistic.where's the fun in that? lol.I think it's done in the same way the movie Cluless was,exaggerated fashion,pushing it as far as you can..
