Gucci F/W 12.13 Milan

Such a beautiful collection. Love the use of velvet and most of the dresses are divine.

It's all very darkly romantic and at least you realise that this is a collection designed for the colder months, which sometimes, lately it is hard to tell.
I defintely see touches of other designers here, Cavalli went down this route, for a few seasons, but maybe not with the panache that is shown here.
Not all the looks work. Some of the prints and velvet dresses are heavy-handed, but at least as a whole it is cohesive.
Bleached eyebrows aside (because they drive me nuts), the styling is really good...great hair. But, terrible eyewear.

And I would fill my closet with all of these looks... my god gimme gimme gimme!!!! :woot:

it is just the black version of thpsee most hitted spring floral gowns that dressed by celebrities on covers and in events. that's all.

This is one of their strongest collections in a long time. Although I can't pick out one particular piece that I love, I thought that the majority of the looks were very moody and darkly romantic. Wasn't such a fan of the last couple of dresses though, too much of a continuation from the F/W 2011 looks.

I don't really ever care for Gucci but I love the look of this, it's the kind of luxury and.. pride I associate the brand with. The palette and textures are so rich and beautifully arranged (kudos to the stylist).

I agree - I haven't liked a Gucci collection in a long while, but there are some lovely pieces in this show, very rich and decadent with gothic-romantic hints throughout (and no, not as smarmy as Tom Ford :P)

dark, mysterious and sexy! I like it..thou from this collections I see the old Gucci when Tom Ford was still the creative director for this brand

Tom Ford for YSL much? FW01 Especially.

But what I like about this is that it's quite relaxed. It doesn't have that trashy bling feel that's always coating Giannini's collections.

I absolutely adore dark and gothic kind of clothes.. such a fantastic collection and those final gowns are to die for!

Will there EVER be a collection where Tom Ford will not be brought up to the subject!?

I'm sure the people who can't get over him are the same people who can't get over past lovers and compare every single person to them huh? just let go... it's been years since he's out of Gucci come on...

now that someone mentioned it, its very Tom Ford i like it all the same

That's honestly a really rude thing to say about the people who are merely pointing out what they believe to be a similarity between this collection and the work of another designer.

What that has to do with not being able to let go, particularly when the similarities are there and people were simply stating as much, I have absolutely no idea.

:innocent:

Dark, ethereal, sophisticated. What a stunning collection!

Wow, I actually like this collection, and I usually find Gucci boring. This collection is clearly an exemption.
