The prints move things in the right direction and also freshen up a trend that is beginning to feel a little past its sell-by in womenswear. The colors, however, are a bit of a problem for me, not their use or their intensity, which is correct, but their shades, which makes the items feel as if they could be from any collection. What's been great about the collections that have used them in a strong way, Jil Sander's blues and Prada's brick red/ maroon against Pepto pink, is that the palette has felt exclusive and really thought about. Even Dolce did their homework on their prints. These over the rainbow/Crayola shades don't feel authentic to the house, surprising in a time when authenticity is the key word.
