Gucci F/W 13.14 Milan

This coat is a killer. Actually I would wear most of the mid-length dresses.

oh yuck.. was the inspiration for the makeup Frida's morning sickness? Bird flu? These girls look ill...

Wow, I think you managed to find the gem in this mess.
This coat is a killer.

This collection is everywhere. I don't even know what to say about those last dresses that haven't already been said. Tinsel. Feathers. Mesh. Sequins. It really does look like an homage to bird flu.

I like the elements of this collection, it all screams Gucci, it has deep jewel tone colors, prints, exotic leathers, interesting cuts, extraordinary fabrics, nice embellishment, and even some feathers but it still has something missing, well not missing but out of place.

Some of the final dresses could have had on full on embroidery and the same color scheme like Kasia's last look and they would have been stunning, the suit with the leaf print has a great cut and looks well tailored, skip the prints there and just make it out of a solid rich color. I'm really liking the snakes skin use, I'm a sucker for it.

At this point its like she's screaming "Fire Me, Fire Me"! She cannot be serious with those gowns, they are a new kind of ugly. This is just another soulless, dreadful collection from Frida...

Why did she have to do these dresses in mesh??? Why???!!! Only a bedazzled drag queen would go for something like this.

This is one of my favourite Gucci collections in some time and I'm not sorry. The pieces around the middle of the collection are amazing.

^^ I too love this collection, as with any collection there are pieces I love more than others, but I am liking Frida at Gucci these days, I look forward to her shows, her F/W especially, her S/S and resort still haven't made my heart be faster like her fall shows, I love the darkness and the decadence, and I love a bit of gaudiness in my evening wear, and I'm not sorry either

not a fan, loved a few of the embellishments at the end but overall the shapes were so unflattering..and that's on models

I hate the evening wear; it's just over the place, too much element in one dress. The rest was fantastic, very Gucci-ish Tom Ford's era.

What never fails to leave me stupefied is how Frida, as a woman, can be completely oblivious to the dressing concerns of women. This isn't the first time that she's created clothes that make models look bulky, or bottom-heavy, or shapeless. Is she that insensitive to the fact that women generally try to avoid those kinds of things, or is she simply that uninvolved in the creative decisions being made?

As for this collection the whole S&M Grandma thing just doesn't gel. Adding a shiny leather top under a woolen suit doesn't make something subversive. Truth be told the few nice pieces -- those softly draped dresses in slate or rust, the black sheath on Karlie, the boxy coat on Liu Wen -- are nothing but really good pre-collection pieces. Then again that's when you're holding them up to a lot of really crappy runway pieces.

everything was great, well no great, but nice and then... the awful evening wear! its disgusting!!! they look cheap and really really tacky ewwwww!!!

It could've been a nice collection if only the outfits were fitted properly. You know a dress is terrible if it makes Anja look big. The only things I like are the top on Julia and the jumpsuit on Alana.
