Gucci S/S 2010 : Natasha Poly & Ryan Kennedy by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

^ Well, even if it was Lara or another model, I bet you some of those people would admit they missed Natasha. ;)

Why, Lara would be spectacular for this campaign! All they'd need to do is bring no tops to the shoot, and plenty of cigarettes :innocent::rolleyes:

Waiting for the behind-the-scenes video, I always enjoy them from Gucci ^_^

i'm looking forward to a change in models, and change in the poses.
(Those poses are overdone)
I can't see her beautiful face.
I have nothing against natasha because i love her also,
very strong, very professional,
but i want to see something new.

I honestly think we should stop complaining. The point of ads are to be effective and make people want to buy the product. I think these ads are beautiful even though they borrowed the theme from cruise. Do you think the average buyer knows that? Do you think they notice that Gucci uses Natasha as the face of the brand over and over again? NO! Get over it. I think when people see these ads they'll want to buy the clothes. That's all that matters. I don't think M&M sit in their offices thinking of ways to please tFSers. They want to create ads that WILL SELL.

I'm done ranting!

Well I'm pleased!
Who does not want buy a Gucci dress with that campaign!!
and Natasha is Frida's muse, people may like or dislike, but actually no one can do anything about it!

I like it a lot. I completely agree with Elfinkova, the clothes are going to be sold after these. Just wondering where will they put GUCCI on the ad? :innocent:

Oh yeah excited for behind the scenes. Also, I hope this isn't the full set, would love to see more.

Yes this ad did SELL the clothes very well, what do you expect from Natasha?

I have seen constant hating on Natasha here in TFS coming from the same users as per usual.

Sometimes I just think that you really can't please everybody but with these very same people what they say aren't even constructive criticisms anymore but just plain unwarranted hate  Fine, whatever makes them sleep at night

Natasha all the time, gets boring. Like Carmen Kass for Michael Kors at this point...

I think the thought per se of Natasha doing Gucci again bores you. Yet she can't help it if Frida believes she fits Gucci's aesthetic. Plus she delivers and nails everything that she does. Who knows maybe next season, a different cast/girl may do the campaign and I'm sure people will compare her/them to Natasha's campaigns in the same way with Prada-Sasha and everyone that succeeded her. She's a standard already at least to me.

Doesn't Gisele have 12 Dolce and Gabbana campaigns? I guess Natasha's Gucci campaigns haven't even reached 10 yet

to me, it's one of the best campaigns for Gucci in years. after the glorious Cruise one, of course. i even love the plexiglass chair! and Ryan looks yum yum!

Eh, it isn't that I don't find Natasha a good model, she is just beginning to be played out to me. She is obviously drop dead gorgeous but I find nothing special about her other then being pretty. There are other beautiful women in the world beside blonde white girls and that kinda seems to be the theme in the fashion industry lately. I have seen more diversity in the 90's.

& yes, of course the clothes will sell but to me, making an ad with the only purpose is to sell clothes is kinda lazy. There is something there for the people that care for nothing but the overused models and the artless, shallow aspect of fashion, but nothing for the people with interest in art direction and creativity.

Oh, and what would someone consider "constructive criticism" for a model? She isn't pouting or flipping her hair hard enough? Please, Natasha is just boring and nothing can change that because she is boring because of her looks, something she can't change, so there is no way to judge a model "constructively".

All this just makes me laugh, all the complains, SIMPLE, You cannot do anything about it, Natasha is the Gucci girl (at least for Frida) and she is the creative director, so, if Frida says that Natasha is the "Girl" for Gucci she will be for the time Frida wants, so STOP complaining, as Khyrk said is always the same people complaining (we get it, you just don't like the model) all they want is that her favorite models get the major campaigns, but is not gonna be like that, Natasha is the most succesful model of the moment, PERIOD. And I bet the most of the people complaining about the ad campaign don't even buy the clothes, so STOP with the complains..I repeat YOU CAN'T DO ANyTHING the Ad is done..

I agree 150%. I think Natasha is such a bore. She's not versatile, she really has only 'one look', and her forehead terrifies me.
Not versatile?, have you ever seen the most of her work?
If you follow her thread at least you'd have a little idea what she has done, but obviously you don't know that much about her career... a lot of designer, photographers, stylist and editors love her... and not because of that "one look" you are talking about:rolleyes::innocent:

Well at least a lot of people follow Natasha and Gucci, I'm happy about it...

Oh, and the plexiglass reminds me of a Versace campaign earlier (the one with Kate Moss and Gisele) ^_^
