It does make sense to me. Goop, as much as I dislike her, has a very dirty, dry sense of humour- maybe it's a bit more subtle than Jennifer's. Chris also has a really good sense of humour, as seen in his SNL appearances, and he also has a lot of charisma in real life. She also seems to have a thing for Brits. Unlike her ex, I also doubt Chris will be intimated by her fame or power in the industry.

How does it make him look stupid exactly?

There is something totally inadequate about man of a certain age, particularly when they were married to strong women to choose as their next partner much younger women. It makes them look totally ridiculous, it's like they cannot handle women of their own age and prefer to take refuge with people with much less experience of life and no responsibilities. I never thought much of Chris Martin so not exactly a massive surprise.

Apparently, Chris Martin is a man of amicable splits.

Just one day after E! News exclusively revealed that Jennifer Lawrence and the Coldplay rocker have called it quits after barely four months of dating, a source tells us what really went wrong between the good-looking pair, who first began seeing each other in late June, just shortly after the Oscar winner broke up with her X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult.

"It wasn't dramatic," a source tells E! News of the pair's decision to pull the plug on their short-lived romance.

"Things just didn't work out," the insider continued, adding that the split occured a few weeks ago. "There are no hard feelings between them."

Presumably the pair's jam-packed schedules also contributed to their break up. Coldplay has a number of performances coming up, including an appearance at the BBC Music Awards, while Lawrence is about to embark upon a mega press tour for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.

Martin's brief relationship with Lawrence marked the musician's first high-profile romance since he announced his separation from ex Gwyneth Paltrow after more than ten years of marriage in March. The parents of two, who shared the news of their split in a statement posted on Gwyneth's lifestyle website titled "Conscious Uncoupling," have remained incredibly amicable and were even spotted grabbing dinner together in Brentwood last week.

Meanwhile, the Silver Linings star was snapped all smiles on Monday following the news of her split, appearing in great spirits as she pumped her own gas in Santa Monica. Hours later, she stepped out to grab dinner with another very important man in her life—her father, Gary Lawrence—although, according to an eyewitness, the two were forced to leave the restaurant due to the plethora of pesky paps.

Earlier in the day, Lawrence was spotted at Martin's Malibu home, where she retrieved her belongings.

And soon, she'll be making the rounds on the red carpet when the Mockingjay press tour kicks off on Nov. 17. The highly anticipated film is the third flick in author Suzanne Collins' wildly-popular franchise.

Apparently they never broke up.

For a couple who officially broke up, Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin are still seeing a lot of each other.

On Oct. 27 – the same day that sources confirmed the split – the Mockingjay actress visited Martin's Malibu home for several hours. But that wasn't the last time she was spotted visiting his place: She returned three nights later, on Thursday.

The pair went out separately Friday, with Lawrence, 24, "having a great time" at Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's Halloween party, while Martin, 37, went trick-or-treating in Malibu with ex Gwyneth Paltrow and their kids Apple, 10, and Moses, 8.

On Saturday, Lawrence was spotted driving to Martin's Malibu house again.

While one source tells PEOPLE that the pair have indeed split, another insider says they remain an item.

"They're very much together," the insider tells PEOPLE. "He's very much into her and they're still seeing each other."

A rep for Lawrence has not commented.

As for other sources' contention that Lawrence is bothered by Martin's ongoing closeness to Paltrow, "she doesn't give a s--- about Gwyneth [and Chris's relationship]," says the insider, adding that the Hunger Games star thinks the reports are "hilarious."

Lawrence recently bought Jessica Simpson's former Beverly Hills house for $8.2 million but has yet to move in. Since their romance began this summer, she has often gone the extra mile to meet Martin on his turf.

Here's what I think. I think they were going through a rough patch and Goop probably jumped the gun and thought they were over. People Mag said about the break up that Jennifer found the relationship between Chris and Goop strange. Maybe that was Gwyneth's sources asserting her authority? But now Jennifer's sources are retaliating saying that she does not give a damn about Gwyneth. It's really interesting to see the former it girl seemingly engaging a PR war against the superstar of the moment.
