'Help Wanted' - Post Unpaid Internships & Other Unpaid Opps (NO COMMENTS, PLEASE!)

Designers: Open call for clothing submissions!

I'm preparing to style and direct a shoot for Gestalt Magazine, an LA title which is launching distribution in NYC and internationally this fall.

We also plan to shoot editorials for NYLON and Youth Vision (China) at the same time.

If you or someone you know has a strong, marketable fall line with distribution, please drop me an email ([email protected]) along with links to your fall collection online or low-res photos of the line. I'll be concentrating on pieces with amazing detail, especially tops, jackets and dresses, but would be open to shoes and accessories as well.

Classy, chic and stylish please...no sports wear.

This is a great chance to further market an emerging line or to introduce a new line. :flower:

Here's a link to the call on my site: Stylebites.blogspot.com

trend consultant?

I'm looking for a trend consultant/consultancy in London, New York or Barcelona, that can offer the company I work for the following-

-Forward trend Information that could be sent to our headoffice (info outside of the usual Peclers, Promostyle, Here and There, WGSN etc)

-A person/company we could visit while in these cities who could present to us the forward trends, possibly take us around to stores that are looking directional.

Preferably a smaller consultant that does not already provide this service to any South African companies.

Anybody know of somebody?

davidwest, i could help you out i guess but i'm not based in the above cities .. :(

I hate to look similar with other women in company functions. How much do u think it will cost to get a fresh grad out of fashion college to help me design an outfit?

Business Plan

Well, Here is my new Idea and I would like you to tell me what you think.

As you already know, I'm planning on taking My Fine Wardrobe to the next level, so after reading several opinions I realize if I wanted to make a difference I should make a website that really stands out; so here is the deal: My Fine Wardrobe would become a website in which you can find any fashion review you want. The reviews would be about every high end collection on earth, fashion movements, designers, special garment ( sunglasses, gloves, etc), etc and also there would be interviews. In order to find what you are looking for, I would place a search bar in which you can write the name of the thing you're looking for (e.g Black tie sunglasses by Dior Homme; or Deconstruction; or Alexandre Plokhov.).

In addition, another service would be provided: If there is a fashion movement, collection, designer, etc. you cannot find you just send me an email and I will review it in less than 24 hours.

In order to get as many reviews as possible, My Fine Wardrobe would be "opened" to everyone. By this I mean, I would invite anyone to write for My Fine Wardrobe as long as they know what they are writing about, and after the article is written it should be send to my email.

So, tell me what you think is it a good idea?

Thank you very much, Stav.

P.S: For the moment I'm already inviting everyone to send you reviews about anything you want related to fashion. Just send them to my email: myfinewardrobe AT gmail.com

Help! Show me the ropes - Business development / Management Exec at CHANEL (anywhere!

Hi all!

Thanks for reading!

I'm in university now, finishing up a double degree in Law and Accounting. I intend to pursue an MBA after a couple of years...

I would like to know if anyone in this fabulous forum works as an executive for Chanel Inc or Chanel Pte Ltd (US, Asia, Australia, Europe)? Or any other luxury fashion corporation?

My dream job is to be a business development executive for Chanel (my passion). I'm studying in Sydney australia now, been here for 7 years (I was born and bred in Singapore) but I don't mind relocating practically ANYWHERE to work towards my dream job. I dont think my parents would be totally supportive of me dumping my "plan" to become a litigator so I would need to have a concrete prospectus for them since they put me through law school...

I've been learning french and I can speak mandarin (good for HK/SouthEast Asia).

What else can I do or should I do?

I'd appreciate ANY help I can get!

THANK YOU!!
