I've just vowed, rather selflessly, to help my sister find a job/internship in Sydney, Australia...any info would be appreciated! She's just graduated with a degree in Fashion Design.

You really just have to put yourself out there. Call EVERYWHERE you think you would be interested in working at, tell them your situation, and hope that someone is looking for a new intern/employee.

New to TheFashionSpot.

I start The Fashion Institute in a few weeks and I just wanted to put my name out here.

My myspace is http://www.myspace.com/makeupanddown

I am a makeup artist as well. I will be officially in NYC on August 19. So if you know any photographers who are interested in expanding their profile, do not hesitate to contact me.

I doubt anyone here could hook me up with the direct access address to the Ateliers of Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior? If possible, via PM.

Arigato!

Hello All,

Is it too early to apply for summer internships at magazines and other fashion internship places?

Hi everyone! I'm currently applying for showroom jobs in LA as a sales assistant or sales rep. I have an associates degree in Fashion Merchandise Product Development and I also have retail experience. On top of that I'm good sales person to boot! If anyone is interested in me, shoot me a PM or an email at kimberwynATgmail.com.

Hey guys!

Listen... If you are looking or if you know of anyone that is LOOKING for a design opportunity, please please please send them my way. I am currently heading up the handbag division for my company, we have 2 other designers (One specializes in backpacks, one specializes in Baby accessories)... they are in dire need for help. The person must have Illustrator experience, must know how to lay out a spec, must have a good taste level .
The atmosphere at this company is VERY COOL. We know how to have fun at work while getting stuff done. We cover almost every imaginable accessory... we have over 26 categories here ranging from backpacks, to handbags, baby, hair, jewelry, etc etc.

We are a licensing company and our licenses range anywhere from Phat Farm and Baby Phat to projects ranging from Heatherette to Walmart, Smurfs Couture(Yes, smurfs couture), etc etc. We get lots of random projects, so versatility is a must! The typical process of licensing work is required ... meaning approvals, meetings with the licensor, etc.

Please get back to me if you are interested, or if you know of anyone else!

Thanks so much

I would say yes. Most places are still getting their Fall people in order, and their next concern would be Spring. So I would wait until at least February before you get the resume out.

Hi,

This is probably the wrong place to post this, but this is where folks who might have someone to suggest would be looking. I got an email from a US recruiter looking for a designer of bed, bath, and window fashions, who can present and travel with the owner, saying salary is not an issue if the background is right. Since I'm in the UK now, I'm out of touch with appropriate folks. So, fellow textile designers, if you are or if you know such a person, let me know.
