Marie Claire Fashion Closet Internships - Spring 2010

The fashion department at Marie Claire seeks a superstar intern to work alongside one of the Fashion Assistants for the Spring 2010 semester (mid-December through May). You must be able to commit to a MINIMUM of THREE to FIVE full days a week, with no exceptions. This is an unpaid internship and you must be able to receive college credit. Please do not apply unless you meet these requirements!

Interns will be based in the fashion closet, working primarily with the high-end and European designer samples. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: checking in and returning samples, creating story boards, organizing the fashion closet, setting up for run-thrus, packing/unpacking for photo shoots and handling ongoing requests as needed.

Candidates must be extremely organized and able to multitask in a fast paced environment. This position requires long hours so candidates must be dedicated and highly-motivated. A positive attitude is a must.

Previous fashion closet experience is preferred, but not required.

Vogue Fashion Department Interns

That’s right, the fashion powerhouse is seeking a handful of super dedicated Spring interns to assist their fashion department. You will be working closely with the editors and assistants, and responsibilities include administrative tasks, assisting on shoots and running errands. The day begins at 8:30am and ends at around 7:00-7:30pm. Welcome to the fashion closet kids, the days are long but you’ll learn more than you can imagine. You should be able to commit to a minimum of two days a week, with a maximum of four and the internship will start in January and end in May.

You must be currently enrolled in school — academic credit for this internship is mandatory, and a strong interest in fashion and magazine publishing is a major plus! As if we really needed to tell you that.

Stylist Agency Internship

We are a successful, expanding stylist division within a photo agency looking for responsible and motivated interns with a positive attitude who are eager to acquire skills that are important to the photographic industry.

The position requires a minimum two day commitment per week and is an unpaid position, however compensation for travel and a daily meal allowance are provided, as well as school credit and a professional letter of reference. Experience in fashion, advertising and editorial is preferred, though not necessary.

Toronto Fashion Internship Candidates for the fashion internship

Local Intern who is willing to assist owner with identifying cost benefits of materials, research possible buyers in the southwest market, assist with design of fashion layouts, work with owners and the showroom rep to email possible buyers and contact fashion editors.
