Wmagazine.com is seeking a web-savvy intern to assist its online editorial
and production team for the fall semester. Candidates should be
detail-oriented and comfortable performing a range of web-related tasks,
including formatting text and images in Moveable Type (or comparable
blogging software), using basic HTML, resizing images with Adobe Photoshop,
and promoting blog posts to other websites. Experience with video editing
and/or a content management system is a plus. There are also ample
opportunities to write or shoot photos for the W Editors’ Blog. This
internship is for college credit, with a daily $12 stipend; applicants must
be available 2-3 full days per week.

Elle.com Fall Photo Intern

Elle.com is seeking an enthusiastic college student to be their Fall Photo Intern (NY Office)! The intern will contribute directly to strengthening the magazine’s web presence, which includes assisting the staff with photo production for various slideshows and features and conducting photo research using royalty free stock agencies. The intern will also assist with photo archiving on the server and burning data to DVDs. The Ultimate Bridal Mag is an extension of the largest upscale bridal convention in Central California. We are seeking interns for our online magazine (this is a remote internship). Currently, we have internships open in blogging & social media, features, sourcing and editing (most have previous editing experience and/or be a major in English or journalism).

Marie Claire Accessories Internship

The Marie Claire accessories department is looking for great interns to work with shoes, bags and jewelry for the Fall 2010 semester (immediately through 
December).

The ideal candidate should be able to commit to 3 to 5 full days a week. You must also be enrolled in school and eligible for credit. The internship is unpaid.

Interns will be assisting the accessories team in the fashion closet, working with all accessories including fine jewelry. Responsibilities include checking in and returning samples, creating story boards, organizing the fashion closet, setting up for run-throughs, packing/unpacking for photo shoots and handling ongoing requests as needed, doing store pulls, helping to manage schedules and any other administrative work the team will need.

Candidates must be EXTREMELY organized and able to multitask in a fast paced environment. This position requires long hours so candidates must be dedicated and highly-motivated. A good attitude, attention to detail and follow through are very important.

Would you love to participate in an internship but can’t travel off-campus to do so? If you’re the social chair of a sorority at a university outside of Illinois and you answered these questions in the affirmative, please read on:

AKIRA is an innovative men’s and women’s retailer based in Chicago. The company is a major player on the Windy City’s fashion scene and boasts a fast-growing national presence. Since its inception as a single women’s store in 2002, AKIRA has extended its influence to 11 boutiques in the Chicagoland area and an e-tail website (http://www.shopakira.com).

As part of our mission to cultivate a reputation with fashion-forward individuals all over the country, we are seeking out students from educational institutions outside of Illinois to serve as AKIRA Sorority Spokeswomen.
