i agree. i'm wearing siwy hi waisted shorts right now and they're very comfy and not too tight.

^hope so too! although if you got some ladylumps around your waist, it is really hard to put high waisted jeans on in the first place...

I bought some wide leg ones in topshop. I had to go down a whole size to get it t fit around my waist. They look really good though, only things is because my hips are really bony at the front they rub on the denim a bit and it is a little sore.

Zara has a pair of corset jeans in their 'lola' style. I tried them on though and the denim is really stiff. It would need to be softened somehow before the jeans would be comfy.

stiff denim is never a good thing IMO , mid weight or light weight is so much better .

The high-waisted trend is so traumatic for me!
I'm normally a size 8 (UK), but if I wear high-waisted things, I have to wear a size 12!! I have such a boyish straight body, and theres only 2 or 3 inches difference between my waist and my hips!
This style really doesn't seem to suit me...
I don't know if any of you have had this problem and got past it? Because I love the look of this silhouette. Corsetted skinny jeans and shorts look quite cute in my opinion! I just don't know how to go about it though...!
Saying that, I do have a lovely high-waisted skirt in this wool-tweedy fabric. I think it only suits me because the hips on it are quite voluminous, so I look more in proportion. I can't really do that with trousers though!

I am the opposite I find it hard because I am and 8 in high waist and normally a 10. So I really have to wiggle into my jeans.

THAT MAKES NO SENSE ?? your low rise sizing is larger than your high waist sizing because a higher waist sits higher and the waist line is narrower considerably . Im 6 US low rise and 4/5/6 in higher waist but not bigger??
I love high waists .

also if one has no definable waist (a boy figure) then they would have to wear a larger size, eh? it makes perfect sense. you use very strong language for things that aren't so serious--lighten up.

tailoring to get the hips slimmed, right? now i don't understand...hahaha. why not just keep shopping around...there are highwaist fits that are tight thru the hip, have a baggy-ish waist/hips for the straighter figures, and go straight or flare from the knee down or taper, etc.
