Interesting posts ^_^

My inflight travel essentials are:

- iPod
- A book
- Face & Hand Moisturizer
- Eye cream (as the skin around my eyes is extremely dry)
- A mini plastic bottle 1/3 filled with my usual face wash
- Perfume
- Digital Camera
- Comfortable shoes & clothes

Before landing, I cleanse my face and apply light makeup.

I always fly either business or first class on emirates airways, therefore the bottle of water is available (and they get you an extra one if you need) and the food is delicious so i dont need the extra snacks. Plus, food is not a problem to me as I tend to lose my appetite while travelling.

Way too late but for other people preparing for a trip...

Beauty related:
Heavy duty lipbalm
Lipgloss
Moisturizer
Cleanser (put it in one of those small transparent bottles)
Eyebrow-enhancing necessities :p
Blush/bronzer

Others:
Essentials-purse,passport,money,phone,pen,etc.
Tissues
Drink bottle
Basic medicines
iPod/mp3 player
Book/Mags
Spare undies/clothes
Plastic bag
Hair elastics, bobby pins
Gum
Hand cream
Jacket/jumper
Disinfectant
Toothbrush, mini toothpaste
Ear plugs if you plan on sleeping

Yeah my bag is usually really heavy. But you've got to be prepared for anything! Especially since I usually go on long flights (8+ hrs)

Well it's been interesting because we get a lot of people coming into my store and getting the smaller sizes because they are travelling. A lady who bought a lotion that we don't make in ANY small sizes told me that you have to have the volume written on the bottle, and it can't be in Sharpie either. It just compounds things even more. Thought I would pass that news on to you guys:)

I hate the new restrictions because it's so confusing what you can and can't bring and how it has to be packaged, I miss the days of bringing all my goodies with me. However the best tips is deifnately comfy clothing- I've seen people dress to the nines on a long haul flight and we end up being delayed or something crazy, not cool at all.

oh bleedin' hell.. this is daunting. i'm travelling from Toronto to Frankfurt then Frankfurt to Madrid then Madrid to Malaga.

b/c i'm going waaay cheap w/ the infamous Iberia, i have to take everything as Carry-On.

so i'll be getting those 100ml bottles and transferring stuff into it then putting it into a 1L Ziplock bag or something like that.

QUESTION: are we allowed to bring iPods or Digital Cameras?
Please someone reply.

thanks

onboard essentials

I carry an empty sports water bottle, I fill it up with bottled water, at the airport, or ask the flight attendant to fill it up.

A very cushy pillow

My own blanket & slippers

An eyemask

Then I just bring along an ipod or my shuffle, depending on how much stuff I want to carry

A book

Sometimes, a dvd player with a case full of dvd's

Snacks, salty or sweet, I never know what I would crave

Purell

Tissues

Advil

In a ziplock bag: Lip Balm, Moisturizer, Small tooth brush, tooth paste, and face wash, also my mascara goes in here

my makeup bag

if it's a work trip, my laptop

Somehow, it adds up, because it gets heavy!!!

Can anyone recommend a fashionable but user friendly bag to bring on the plabe that can haul a laptop and other essentials, be used everyday as a tote/purse and double as a weekend bag for trips? Maybe I'm asking too much from a bag :p

I hate the new restrictions because it's so confusing what you can and can't bring and how it has to be packaged.

Maybe it's a stupid question, but can i bring my usual make-up set with myself, such as mascara, compact powder blush, skin finish powder, lipgloss? O.o
I have really no idea what i can bring with myself these days..

^ I'd say you would be fine taking those because I'm pretty sure the restrictions are only on liquids. Maybe just check on the website of the airline you are flying with before you go :)

I just read on Hungarian Airlines site that mascara is also prohibited.
I know it's not the most important thing during flight, but maybe it's good to know. :flower:
