DiorKiss, depending on whether lambskin or caviar, I'd choose between Catty and Fangfang. J's classic flaps are wonky. However, fangfangs low ends aren't very good (on Taobao). Her expensive ones aren't all worth their prices either; some have glaring errors or pet-peeves of mine. Catty's are probably the most bang for your buck especially if you haggle. Fangfang's pricier caviar looks quality though. JMO.

SOOO glad that you got a good Cerf tote. Isn't it gorgeous? I think it's a classic & simple bag that doesn't go out of style. And, it holds quite a lot. Jacky makes the best cerf totes.

And if you want you can wear it without the strap and not even have that issue...was out with 1 friend with an auth rocco/brass combo and 1 friend with the jacky brass/combo rep...the friend with the auth had NO CLUE our other friends was a rep... we told her..she was in Jacky has a new customer
Chupi..do you think the brass studs on Jackys are a little less brass/golden colored..more of a bronze laquered varnish?..i mean its slight, and not a deal breaker as wear and the elements can oxidize metal, but we noticed these things when doing our autopsy!
I love the luggage color rocco...I also love the forest green with silver...and the grey..I love them all..haha
I also love the trudy tote...I live 3 blocks from Barneys so i visit them a lot!

Absolutely agree on the studs being lacquered, it's the sort of thing you'd notice if you were up close and personal but they're not that perfect brass finish like the auth. But then I think the same thing about T&D's brass hardware, it looks more lacquered then the solid integral feel of Bal's hardware.

I love them all too! I've been eyeing up the auth forest with silver studs as Jacky's never going to make that one..

Agreed! with all the reds in for fall black cherry would be yum

Thelivingdoll: Black! Jacky's ps1's are excellent reps, but the black is the most perfect. The others all have small flaws (yellow=wrong colour zipper for example)

Yeah the forest green and silver combo is quite a head turner
Yep- the studs are smoother and less brassy/metal looking on Jackys for sure, but as you say, you would have to have an authentic next to it and know what you're looking for to see the difference, As you would with an NBF when compared next to a Bal...but for the money its a great replica for sure. I wonder if Catty's rocco reps have a more authentic brass stud?

PS1 (livingdoll) Cant go wrong with a black large or X large from Jacky. Chupi and I have done our homework.
I had the black X large and it was spot on (compared it to auth at Barneys last year) I reviewed it in depth in the last thread, If you search thru the last thread I'm sure you will find it)
Check the measurements and details of the authentic and then check them against Jackys..thats what i do.

it was packed fine, i ordered other items so it was in a larger box

Luna that is one of the best Chanel rep wallets I've seen so far. They are usually quite off on the quilting or some other detail is missing/wrong - the tote is also very nice. That would fit right into a corporate working wardrobe (like mine!)

RE Jacky's Vernis...........I'd deffinately say go for it! I have both his amarante cosmetic pouch (from a few years ago) and it's still gorgeous, and I even use it as a clutch at times (fits camera, phone, gum, some cards and cash!) too!

I also have his Pomme vernis cles and that's great too. I get a lot of compliments on both items!

Hey crystal. It's really minimal...like the GGH on a NBF verses a BAL...that kind of thing...i hope you will able to live with it...I think it's only noticeable when held next to an authentic...on its own it's a good rep
I mean I totally get what you're saying...and everyones tolerance is different on these issues.
If you find a pic of the bottom of an auth brass AW Rocco and compare it to jackys you will see how minimal it is...really.

It's a beautiful bag, I wore it with pride into Selfridges (UK version of Barneys) And I'm one of those who thinks T&D's bales need work so I'm definitely fussy!
