i have the maxi gale, and i LOVE using the shoulder strap on mine. it hangs in a really cool way in my opinion. also, i am able to use the shoulder strap messenger style, because of the way the bag collapses. such a great bag....can't say enough wonderful things about it. got mine from catty, had it "fauxthenticated" by ale and brian, and it passed with FLYING COLORS!!

since my previous post is deleted, i wanna ask again about this chanel jumbo thing..i read from tpf that classic flap comes in 1) XL or maxi and 2) jumbo..and correct me if i'm wrong, i guess in this pic she has the XL? does Jacky ever have this maxi flap? and how is Jacky's Chanel in terms of dimension /size and CC's hardware, are they correct?

nicole richie's chanel is a vintage jumbo XL flap (14-14.5 inch flap)...
i think jacky used to have this bag, but sold out...

Well, Ale himself bought Jacky's. He worked with Jacky for a long time to get EVERY detail correct. And he waited WEEKS for it to be delivered (and re-delivered). Why didn't he just buy Catty's instead? I also know of a couple members who saw BOTH Catty's and Jacky's IRL and they reported that Jacky's leather was so much better. One was trying to sell her 'gale from Catty so she could purchase Jacky's.

But I'm not letting this escalate into a big argument, that's just silly. I think Jacky's is better, that's all.

yesterday I've finally received the grey weekender and I'm 90% happy, the bag is very very beatiful, great color, the leather is very soft (but not perfect as my first magenta) . the handles are weird, maybe I just need to strech them a little bit, and the front pocket zipper is broken, I've sent an email to them but no reply. I didn't ask for refund I just want to let them know that I've bought a new bag and it's not 100% perfect. btw the bag is very beautiful, and I love it I'll post more pics later on:

Sorry to hear that chicca, the handle is a bit weird indeed..I'm supposed to receive my MC speedy today but when I check the tracking, the status said an attempt to deliver my item was made this morning and it missed. The fact that annoyed me the most is I was home the whole day and no bell nor such attempt ever exist!! This is the third time such thing happened. and now I have to wait till tomorrow to pick it up..Oh well I hope everything is fine for the bag itself..

I've checked Catty's site but she didn't have the medium 'gale (which is the one I want), or at least I don't think she has it. Since there are no descriptions I simply guessed from looking at the pictures, and the 'gales in the pics look large...

I wanted to purchase from jacky so I informed myself on western union and here (europe) the fees are very high, in my eyes
example: you want to order something from about 100-110 dollar, then your fee will be 25-30dollar - if your amount would increase then so will your fee

on top of that I can't order 5 bags from jacky (gets checked) to get a free shipping so I have to pay the other 30extra dollar shipping, now I don't mind paying shipping costs but that would add up to a total of 60dollar for a bag of 100dollar

to me this is the disadvantage that prevents me from ordering from jacky straight away and it really is annoying

Valkyrie, I'm in Europe too and I always transfer the payment directly from my bankaccount into Jacky's. It's much cheaper (and more convient) than using Western Union for me, and Jacky is totally fine with it.

And please note you don't have to order 5 bags from him in order to get free shipping, you can take any accesoire or scarf as well I normally buy about 2 'large' bags, a clutch or wallet or 2 and a scarf. That way it isn't so expensive and you will get free shipping too.

I've been ordering quite a lot from Jacky and have always been very happy. Good communication, fast shipping, great bags.

After all the great feedback on NBF (T&D) in this thread I decided to take the plunge and I ordered two bags. A sandstone GGH work, and a vert green GGH city.

The work was send out to me a week after payment, and it took about a week to arrive here. When it arrived it looked nice, the leather on the sides a bit thin and plasticy, but overall beautiful. On one side the stitching had a 'hick-up' and when I emailed T&D about it they said that someone at the factory obviously missed that on the quality check. They advised me to cut the leather with a sharp pair of scissors to make it less visable, and offered me free shipping on a next purchase.

My vert green ggh city took a week longer to arrive, as T&D told me they would get in the better clip&bales, not the rounded ones, but the bales with the same shape as the authentic b-bags. I told them I rather waited a bit longer because I wanted my bag with the correct bales.

When my bag finally arrived it turned out to have the old super square bales, a very broken zipper (impossible to zip shut) and staines on both the strap and the front.

The bag itself was very nice though

I emailed T&D right away, and they were very nonchalant. just saying, Oh we don't really know how this could have happened. The asked me to return the bag and offered me a refund. Instead I asked them to send me a new, good vert green city before I would return the faulty bag. They told me they would do that.

After a few days I asked for my trackingnr, but they said that they didn't have any vg cities at the factory they were happy about. They offered me to choose another bag. We now agreed on a electric blue rh city (with correct bales), and they promised to send it out asap. Waiting for a tracking nr now.

I'm so sorry about the hiccups on both of your bags, PinUpGirl. I hope that you're getting a discount on your EB RH City, since you'll be paying for shipping when you return the VG GGH City. The "free shipping on a next purchase" due to the faulty Sandstone GGH Work should not count as that discount, right?
