cloudy: A lot of people buy from Jacky and re-sell at much higher prices. That's part of why Jacky's info is so coveted (and protected by some who attempt to protect his privacy). He uses pics of HIS bags. I think others who buy from him can use them. If you like the smaller vintage jumbo, you should get the one he already has on his site! I def want the XL I just LOVE the look of it!

Re: Catty's Chanel, I'm so glad the quality has improved and you girls are loving your bags from her! Some of her details are still off though. Her CCs on the vintage jumbo aren't correct. Jacky's are.....

Babybluestar: Jacky's vintage jumbo CC's lock is smaller (kimair mentioned few pages ago it's a newer version?) and the stitching at the bottom is different too...I love the big CC's lock and I love the XL too (i'm a huge fan of big bag), but looking the way Victoria carried her jumbo which i think i cant do with with the xl..so i'm not sure which one i'm getting ......

i asked catty bfore for her vintage xl jumbo, but the stitching is so off (i think) and not big CC's..

I got one of the discounted grey couriers and like Luna's -- my strap is way too short!! I don't know how to get it wrap around my body low slung unless I separate the strap and wear the top half like a loop -- if that makes any sense! I wonder if they ould make a longer strap, this just looks stupid now in my armit

Hey Baebis,

FYI, here's how I solved the strap issue with my authentic courrier. It won't damage the strap or holes or anything this way. I could adjust it from a "short" length of 40 inches to a max. length of 48 inches. Easily fit across my fat bod.

OK.

First, totally unhook the strap at the buckle so it becomes one LONG strap. Then feed it through the buckle and pull it way past all the holes in the leather so the buckle touches the metal ring on the one end.

Got it? So far you have the bag with a long strap that's now fixed at one end.

Now, feed the loose end just a bit through the "empty" metal ring and line up the holes. If you were to look at this from the side, it would look like a "J" or a hook.To fix it in place, you can weave a ribbon through the holes or even a large keychain charm. In this way, you have one long, long strap.

Hope this helps. IMHO, there's no reason to have the double strap!

I just e-mailed them and they said they are planning to only do it if there are enough request on it. I'm not too sure if I want it yet, but it looks kind of cute on a work or day.

cloudy: I'm not worried about the stitching on the bottom of the bag pictured (on Jacky's site)b/c I'm sure Jacky will correct any flaws brought to his attention....but I'm confused as to why its a "newer style"? The newer jumbo has the skinny CCs....Jacky's are the thicker "vintage" CCs aren't they?

I understand your dilemma!! I'd get the one you think you'll feel best carrying and get the most use out of. I know I need the biggest size!!

if you want Jacky to fix the details you have to tell him. He's had a lot of Chanel's lately where the stitching at the bottom and the bag is off, and the shape of his metallics is odd at the best of times.If you have pics of every angle of the bag then tell him.
i'm no expert on the jumbo vintage cc lock but it looks to me like both jacky and catty have it wrong they should be bigger.. could probably check TPF for this but again be careful!! not all gospel at tpf lots of fake chanels there spotted too.

The NBF strap, when flat, laid out like a belt, measures 50 inches from end to end not including the buckle.

So the real courier has a pretty short strap as well if worn doubled up....This makes me feel better!

Edit: When worn doubled, the NBF strap is about 25 inches so it does come very high up and the boobs on the way do not help

Beautiful, chicca! The chain straps look perfect. I've seen other Catty quilted flaps with slightly jumbled links on the strap but yours look great.

Right now, I'm in cahoots w/ Catty on ordering my first Chanel. I'll post picks when I get it (which, should be soon, hopefully).

babybluestar: i'm not an expert in Chanel, so dont really understand too..i think only vintage that come with big CC's, other than that the CC's lock is smaller..I think i read it somewhere that chanel is making reissue now with big CC's again but still smaller than the vintage one...

nicky25: i tried to point out some flaw and I sent Jacky all the detailed pics, but then he replied me saying he's gonna buy the authentic one..and since i'm new customer and never buy things from him, I'm not sure if he really cares ? though i want my bag as perfect as possible...

littlecoco: i've been thinking about your bubble flap, really want one too..I asked Jacky, he doesnt have it and not planning to make it coz it's out style he said..so my only chance is from catty too, but not sure I'd pay $158 for it..by the way, i got some pics, and need your help to check if the color is same as yours...

cloudyblue...the bag that catty is calling the vintage jumbo isn't the vintage jumbo...
i think that's where the confusion lies...
the vintage jumbos are the only ones with the large cc's (like on the first 2 pics you posted)...

chanel is releasing a new bag called the maxi, which is just as large as the vintage jumbo XL, but with shorter shoulder straps...the new maxi also has the normal size CC's...pic from tpf

baglovinequine...i have had three spys in my "bag career". i get rid of them, and then want them back. i am currently on the hunt too! it's really hard to find a good rep. they're either too small, or the handles are too short, or etc......
