I still think you'll be ok with beausac, though-I would just ask her for some more detailed pics esp of the grain of the inside lining of the bag. What I got looked exactly like her pic. My only gripe (and I have mentioned this before, so sorry)-the stitching was too close together on the handles and sides of my picotin. Was stiched correctly (like ////) but looked attached to each other, kwim? But her birkin stitching looks great.

Are you sure you won't consider desiremall? Or does it have to be H??

Why is it that T&D's stock photos always make the bags look so stiff and almost fake-looking?

I'm so tempted when I see TFS'ers beautiful bags from them but I'm also sort of turned off by T&D's photos and I'm afraid if I order from them they'll be stiff and rigid looking too...

That's very true! Even their really old stuff from a few years ago had lovely soft leather.... never stiff.

laru: T&D's bags are the antithesis of stiff. They are the absolute softest, smooshiest, most lusciously squishy leather! They stuff the bags full for photos to accentuate their shape (so you can see what the bags look like). Amethyst (I believe) referred to her's as a "puddle" and I think that's a quite fitting description!

nicky: No aqua swatch yet..... they bought an auth though so I'm guessing it'll be perfection. I'm already planning outfits around my 2 aquas!! Springtime, an American Apparel cotton dress with flat sandals and a puddle of aqua leather on my arm!!!

I think it's just the way they photograph them - stuff them and put them under bright lights. I've actually seen people asking them "could you post a pic of the bag with nothing in it?". I've always thought they should do that - I think they'd sell even more bags if they showed how soft and slouchy they really are.

I don't really care for the Step.....maybe I need to see it unstuffed......it just doesn't seem to have the structure of the square style bags (Work, City, First) or the slouch and casual feel of the Hobo, Day and Courier.

I'm a bright bbag fanatic!!!! I have a grey and it'll prob be the only neutral/dark I ever have!!

Same here. Although i love all the bright colours, they just don't seem to fit in easily with the rest of my wardrobe....dark/neutral colours are just so much more easier

Are you a big bag lover too?? The City is the smallest bag I carry (except for the Speedy 30) and it seems so small but I it!! I got a First for going out. I live out of my bags and could never fit my necessities in something so small!!


couturecandystor: SAME here!! I got a black Work but it just didn't "do it" for me like the colorful bags do!! My grey is my neutral and I just go elsewhere for black....I realized that not EVERY bag I carry has to be Balenciaga!!

yeah i think my default bag is at least the size of a bal work bag. =o
my bf keeps telling me whatever he needs, he can always find it in my bag. it sucks cuz sometimes i end up carrying his stuffs.
