they're probably trying to whip us into a buying frenzy that's what any talented businessperson would try to do. i have no doubts that we will all get just what we paid for. if they say they have 2, they very well may have 4 or 6 or 8- still limited, of course, but they just want to make sure that their stock gets cleared out!

"hmm, i'll have to think about these. they're cute, but..."
"no problem, dear. just so you know, these are the only pair we have left in your size."
"i'll just take them now then."
"excellent."

surely we've all gone through that once or twice!

no, it's a brand new one...
i had asked if they did the RH part-time in other colors besides black and rubisse, and shimmer said they would do sapphire if they got 3 people and i believe i was the third...

regarding the mandarin part time, it is possible that something similar happened as the sapphire PT...they may have had other buyers inquiring about it...
i doubt they are trying to pull anything over on us...
they may be slow at times to respond or ship, but they aren't shifty...

im also confused; tD said they have only 2 yellow GSH city-no more leather in this color, but they sold me 1,mmm03 and another girl i know also paid for 1...so 3 total?it's not big deal, just wondering..

I'm sorry to hear that shimmer!! Was it the black PT you got? My ruby and magenta bags I received on Christmas Eve are out if this world fantastic. Best leather ever.

What color is it? I got a black ggh work from them about a month ago and returned it because the leather was really disappointing.. it was my first T&D purchase and looked different from the pictures everyone posts. They're sending me an EB day bag so hopefully this one will be good. The pictures people have posted look amazing!

I really wanted a magenta work but the size and shape looks so awkward and big on my body (5'2, petite).

yeap itwas the black leather. the hardware isnt silver at all, its gunmetal. my ruby was great too, compared to that this one is really quite disappointing it feels plasticky and.. ugh. i dunno if i wanna return it because its the only bag i really want from them at the moment and i waited so long for it.. and.. well, i got this because last time they sent me a defect sapphire that i returned... i dunno what to do, sigh. its quite nice for what it is though, i just thought t&d would do better like their other bags. i bet t&d will despise me if i returned this too

anyone who ordered the gsh black pt get it yet? would love to hear what you guys think of it!

madonnacomplex is totally right! It's just good business (and I've SO done the same thing with jeans and "the last pair" lol).

We all blab everything T&D tell us all over the board (and sometimes even post their emails) so basically if they were doing anything wrong, they'd get caught. Just because they said "two" doesn't meant that's all they've ever had! Remember that they have other customers! Maybe 2 were sold and they had two left. Or maybe they have 15! Does it really matter?

Other sellers have WAY more privacy than T&D and really, I don't think the boys owe us any explanation.

I think T&D are really taken for granted sometimes. I've seen complaints about their prices, shipping, tracking numbers etc. And some people get really fired about it. Remeber that you're buying a REPLICA bag!!! If you want someone to bend over backwards for you while smiling, go drop a few grand at Balenciaga. I'd personally rather spend less money for a superior product and I think T&D's customer service is superb. As I've gotten a little older I've tried (mostly in vain) to gain patience.....it works wonders when waiting on a tracking number.

Kimair: I couldn't have put it better myself!! Slow to ship? Yep!! Shady or dishonest? Not a chance!

I can't believe that I have 17 NBF bags and the bouton d'or will be my first city!

i totally agree with ambreit...it doesn't matter where you buy, k-mart or bergdorf's, good service is good service...
i'm received some pretty crappy service at bal ny even with money (or card) in hand...

also, sorry for causing any trouble over the mandarin part-time. i didn't know anything about what sizes they said they were making it in. i just emailed them and said i liked the color, and asked if they had it in any other size. i'm sorry if anyone else wanted it and missed out. i've never experienced any dishonesty from t&d, and have always gotten excellent customer service - they've always been 100% upfront with me about shipping times, production delays, etc. there may just be a piece of the puzzle we don't know - it really could just be timing/luck.

bubuREE: I've never purchased a birkin from Catty, but I know Jacky's are really good (I've heard from two people that his are as good as OMAS' ). If you want to order from Catty, ask her which one is her best quality, she's really good at letting you know which ones she has and the quality level.

My point is, people take T&D for granted and whine and complain about shipping delays, waiting on a tracking #, etc. If you want a bbag RIGHT NOW, go drop a couple grand at Balenciaga. As I stated above, T&D's customer service is superb and I think MOST people here are really happy with their service and bags and don't raise he** when something goes wrong or they change their mind about a bag or when shipping takes slighty longer than expected.

I also stated that T&D makes a superior product. So I believe that their customer service AND their bags are better. However, if someone wants service with a smile (which means face to face) and to go home with a bag TODAY, they can go to Balenciaga.

honestly, it sounds like you have an inside line to what t&d are making (colors, styles, etc). email them at about 8 pm your time, and they'll get right back to you.

these are handbags we are talking about - what would an "inside line" even mean? the last time i ordered from them prior to this was when they released the magenta/sandstone bags. i missed out entirely on all of the pretty fall colors. surely if i had any sort of "inside line" i wouldn't have missed out on those. i don't know what to do short of cancelling my order and letting you buy the bag from them to alleviate your frustration with the issue. again, i am sorry that they did not have the size you wanted.

speaking of missing out - whatever ended up happening with the turquoise bags? the last word i heard about them was back in july, and there wasn't a chance of getting one. hopefully one of you ladies can trade some insider information with me?
