does anyone know when the chinese spring festival will end? T&D told me that the factory shut down early for the festival and wont finish production on the turq bags until its over.

Chinese New Year starts around January 22 and ends February 4.... Everything closes down and most of our websites are not open during that time.

these are handbags we are talking about - what would an "inside line" even mean? the last time i ordered from them prior to this was when they released the magenta/sandstone bags. i missed out entirely on all of the pretty fall colors. surely if i had any sort of "inside line" i wouldn't have missed out on those. i don't know what to do short of cancelling my order and letting you buy the bag from them to alleviate your frustration with the issue. again, i am sorry that they did not have the size you wanted.

speaking of missing out - whatever ended up happening with the turquoise bags? the last word i heard about them was back in july, and there wasn't a chance of getting one. hopefully one of you ladies can trade some insider information with me?

you must have misread what i said. an announcement was made that the mandarin was ONLY being made in the first style. i emailed them and asked them what colors they were making the part time in. mandarin was not mentioned, only sapphire. i don't want your order. never said i did.

and p.s., babybluestar...anyone who wants to cancel an "order" has every right to.

I'm still curious to see what the turquoise turns out to look like. if it's the holy grail color I'll be surprised. hoping they will have some leftovers.

and btw, the magenta is GOOOOORGEOUS. and the city is a great style.

madonnacomplex: The turq is a bit complicated as T&D chucked the last batch (it came out with teeny tiny black spots on the leather) and the auth bag they bought to make this latest batch from (according to some) didn't look like turq but more like a hybrid of turq and aqua. I think its a beautiful color and I'm getting one regardless. I'm not sure if any are left, but I think there might be. Shoot the boys an email.....or did you already know all of this through your top secret connections with them? hehe.

i dont think ambriet meant she had some sort of "top secret connection." i think she meant that if they were willing to clue her in on the mandarin (which for others they weren't) they will probably give her the best information on every other bag they are making as opposed to one of us. better to go to the source then through the grapevine no?

I'll just say this: there are eyes and ears everywhere.

T&D, just like any seller, are not obligated to sell to anyone. If there always seems to be a problem/issue/drama/complaint/refund/return from a customer with their product, chances are the seller won't want the hassle of dealing with that bad apple, especially when they have hundreds of other happy, drama & complaint-free loyal customers.
If you bite the hand that feeds, don't be surprised when the hand no longer wants to do business with you.

just my 2 cents: i dont think anyone expect the perfection of the real thing, but they expect to have the quality that T&D USED to have - which no longer the case...
I, no longer consider myself a loyal or long term buyer anymore, because i can see myself buying less and less, and worry more and more after i order the bag.
you girls that didnt get defected bags, considering urself LUCKY then.

ame: I've had the SAME conversation with T&D!! They work SO hard and have gone through a lot to fix the clips and bales so everyone is pleased and then to be met with MORE complaints and to have such an excess of stock.....its just not right. I for one am supremely happy with my NBF bags! The leather is BETTER than auth bbags!! I'm not going to worry about tiny details. I think they should have a no cancelation/return policy (like almost EVERY other seller). T&D are TOO caring and need to cover their own behinds for a change. I <3 ours boys too and hope they start looking out for number 1!!

So I went to the source (well, sort of) and hunted all over for a b-bag in China. This is my Violet City with RH for around $60

It did come with the shoulder strap, mirror, controllato card, etc but we all know what those look like so I didn't include them. The leather could be just a *little* bit smooshier, but for $60 I'm willing to let that slide, and I'm sure it will soften even more with use.

I was considering purchasing a T&D bag, but balked a little at the $228 price tag. Ultimately, I may get a T&D bag in the future (if there aren't any more complaints about poor quality leather), but for now I'm very happy with this one.

yeap itwas the black leather. the hardware isnt silver at all, its gunmetal. my ruby was great too, compared to that this one is really quite disappointing it feels plasticky and.. ugh. i dunno if i wanna return it because its the only bag i really want from them at the moment and i waited so long for it.. and.. well, i got this because last time they sent me a defect sapphire that i returned... i dunno what to do, sigh. its quite nice for what it is though, i just thought t&d would do better like their other bags. i bet t&d will despise me if i returned this too

anyone who ordered the gsh black pt get it yet? would love to hear what you guys think of it!

i got my gsh black pt a few days back. my hardware is silver not gunmetal. the leather does look and feel thin, plasticky and overly shiny... but i wouldn't know since this is my 1st NBF bag. is this the case? i would like to know too. i love the bag though, except the quality and look of the leather is relatively upsetting.

just so you know....i'm not on any "banned" list either, nor do i have a sour relationship with NBF. i have never "complained" nor "sent back" any item. even when i've gotten defective items from them, we've worked it out BETWEEN US.

if an item is sub par, regardless of who is selling or making it, the buyer has every right under the sun to return/exchange it. you and amethyst_sparkle seem to like targeting anyone who has ever had a QC issue with T&D. there have been QC issues, period. there have been sub par bags sent out, period. this is not a he said/she said or a right/wrong issue. these are facts.

I agree with the posters that say damaged, broken, and stained bags are unacceptable, no matter where you purchase them.
However endearing it is that there are people that bend over backwards defending certain sellers, I do believe that this thread is devoted to talking about what seller does which bag the best.
If there are issues, it's perfectly appropriate to bring them up. I don't think they should get a virtual-bagslap because they were sent damaged or defective goods and were peeved about it. They pay the same amount that other people have paid for non-damaged goods. Why shouldn't they be aggravated?
If you've never been burned, terrific, but the people who have, have every right to post about it.

this. i totally agree, and i'm in the same boat as you. we know what we are buying (obvs, not auth) but it seems the quality of some of these bags are not what t&d used to send out... that, and they tend to skirt around issues a lot. i think thats whats getting to people.
