With all of that, I have a question:

I messed-up my LV Monogram bag. I scrapped the bottom part across something so hard that the actual material scraped off. I have no idea when I did it, but I did and it sucks. Is Catty still the go to for the LV Mono? I'll just consider my first messed-up one as a trial experience - next time, I definitely won't order one with so much vachetta. It's too tough to take care of for me. If I wasn't so anal, I could still use the one with the messed-up bottom, but oh well.

^^ starbelly i think catty's mono is awesome. i purchased a wallet for a friend and when we compared it literally side by side to the auth it was perfect! jacky is also usually suggested when people are looking for lv mono.

There's a big difference between posting about a bag you've actually RECEIVED and just complaining in general.

I am NOT against posting reviews on bags and truthfully reporting on the quality. Notice I didn't "target" shimmer when she posted that the leather on her bag isn't good. She has every right to post it and I think she should! That is exactly what this board is about and I'm supportive of it! I've posted about good and bad too (bags from T&D included).

I just don't see why its necessary to continually post complaints about a color not being what you expected and then to get all fired up about a style possibly being made that you didn't know about!

And sorry but am I really the only one who sees the irony in the fact that so fuss was made over the ruby (which you hadn't even SEEN yet), being "orangey" and not what you wanted and now you're upset because you didn't know right away about a PT possibly being made in ORANGE?!?!

I think a LOT of people really missed my point. I'm not against posting reviews about bags you've received. I just think that the way we enable each other to buy bags, can also turn and a lot of NEEDLESS negativity can cause the tone of the board to change and people can nit pick sellers and not want to buy. That is NOT what this board is about and I'll stand by that.

madonnacomplex: I think Jacky's caviar is considered the very best, but I've also read a lot of good things on his lambskin. I <3 his black jumbo!! I'd go with Jacky for that one in either leather!

cloudyblue: I haven't purchased from that seller, but post a pic of your MC when you get it and we can give you feedback!! MC is super hard to get right (as you probably know from searching for the best one) so if you're not happy with the one you got, I'd get one from fabaaa on ioffer. Her's is the best I've seen (even the triangle tag is correct)!!

Valkyrie: I have Tiffany's jewelry from Catty and it is very high quality! I have a silver cuff and its very thick and heavy. I know socaligurl80 got the open heart necklace from her and loved it too! She said it didn't turn green either!

Starbelly: MissScarlett's pics are the proof!! Catty has fantastic LV mono!! I got a Neverfull MM from her that was totally spot on!! Her shipping is really reasonable too!!

my black jumbo caviar flap from jacky is the best replica i've ever bought! i use it almost every weekend. definitely worth it. i will add though that mine is pre that extra stitch being added across the bottom of the flap. and i'm actually happier i have this version. i've compared mine (in real life) to one of jacky's newer ones. it seems like the shape is better on mine. the stitch just looks weird to me. (and i think some older chanels don't have that stitch so it doesn't bug me.) but asides from my own views on the stitch thing, i say definitely go for the jumbo caviar.

does anyone know when the chinese spring festival will end? T&D told me that the factory shut down early for the festival and wont finish production on the turq bags until its over.

So production of Turq won't be done until after Feb 4th.. I pre-paid for a turq city quite some time ago when it was still aqua.. it's cool though I'm not complaining, I remain patiently in waiting. I know the wait will have been well worth it once the bag is finally received.
Also, does anyone know if the bales have been or are going to be corrected on GSH? I understand that RH has been corrected, but I have a GSH black city from NBF I received about 2 months ago.. the bag is an absolute beauty but the bales are still pretty square.

Hi, I am looking to order from Jacky in the near future but the main thing that has been putting me off is that he doesn't accept paypal. I know a good few of you have ordered from him in the past and I was basically wondering about which is the easier method between a western union or a wire transfer. I've never done either and only googled how to do both so any imput as to which is easier, faster etc would be appreciated!!

i had alot of people who agreed about the ruby depicted in the original pics. just because you and amethyst_sparkle agree, doesn't make it gospel. nor is what i say written in stone.

as for the mandarin, i was simply making an observation that several people were interested in that color, but wanted other styles, but were told that it was ONLY BEING MADE IN A FIRST. i found it odd that only one person, out of an entire board of interested people, was able to score a style other than the first. again, simply an observation. i don't want a mandarin ANYTHING, and i never said i did.

also debating a 35 cm Birk in red or orange...get itchy for summery colors, i suppose. just got hit with more snow!

still wanting to order CL's from catty...i refuse to ruin any good shoes in this weather. what could be better than having a "second pair"?!

Well, wire transfer is the easiest (in my opinion) but Jacky charges you an amount of money when you do it. I think Western Union is free of charge.

sill: I don't think so, if you can do it by transfer it's cheaper I believe, depending on where you live I guess

I wanted to purchase from jacky so I informed myself on western union and here (europe) the fees are very high, in my eyes
example: you want to order something from about 100-110 dollar, then your fee will be 25-30dollar - if your amount would increase then so will your fee

on top of that I can't order 5 bags from jacky (gets checked) to get a free shipping so I have to pay the other 30extra dollar shipping, now I don't mind paying shipping costs but that would add up to a total of 60dollar for a bag of 100dollar

to me this is the disadvantage that prevents me from ordering from jacky straight away and it really is annoying

I was also a bit put off by Jacky charging so many extra things, but in the end it was so worth it. I love my bag and I wear it every day, the leather is really smooth.

Also when I received my Step I was a liitle skeptical at first because the leather to me just didnt seem right. It is black but I figure it will just get better with time. I havent stopped using it since and after several coats of leather moisturizer I couldnt be happier. But as soon as i got the step I freaked out because the leather looked and felt plasticky, Amethyst Sparkle then calmed me down and assured me it would get better with time.
