Is Bare Minerals Worth Buying?

I'm also looking for a highlighter/illumizer...I don't know if BE has one..or if there's one that could work with it? Also I'm thinking of getting Bisque but when do I put it on. On the DVD (w/ the starter kit) they put it on after foundation/warmth/veil...but I need advicee!

there's a new product that they're coming out with that's called Natural Light.. it came with their holiday kit... I use that... it comes with two shades called "well lit" and "back lit" I think...

There's also clear radiance... it makes you glowy... it looks really sparkly in the little thing, but when i tried it at the store it was really pretty... (it'll be another one of my next purchases)

There was also another product that they showed on QVC.. but i'm not sure of the name.. and i'm pretty sure that it's a new product as well..

It's not on sephora or the BE site... Hm.

I put mine on before i put the veil on(i don't use foundation)... and haven't had a problem...

Besides the mineral veil ( which is perfect to give that finishing look ), does BE have some kind of highlighter which isn't too shimmery?
Have you tried the clear radiance? In the jar it looks shimmery and pearlescent, but on , very little makes you look dewy.
They also have a warm radiance too, that is really pretty.

There is the bisque and summer bisque. Best if applied with the foundation brush- I tried using another and it doesn't get in as well.
The regular bisque was too pinky on my asian fair skin, but the summer bisque had a bit more yellow..but light.

I've been hearing so much good stuff about BE... but after buying the starter kit that matched my skin the closest, it was too pink (I'm a fair skinned asian)! and any shades darker were too dark; you can see, even with blending, where it is applied on my skin. Also, it seems to crease under my eyes (i'm not that tired looking, am i?)... but don't worry... I gave my kit to my sister and she loves it!
Have you tried going a little lighter than you normally would?
I use 1.2, and find it is perfect for my pale asian skin..that has a yellow too it.
The reason I fell in love with BE is because I could never match other foundations the way this one does. Hard to find light tones with yellow undertones.

maybe you are talking about their product called well rested? i think its somewhat of a highlighter to go around the eyes. havent tried it yet though....

but i am a true BE devotee as well!! if you are on the fence, just try it! no matter if you order it from QVC, sephora, the infomercial, or bareescentuals.com, they all accept returns, so there is nothing to lose. but i truly believe that the starter kit is a must try, there is nothing else like it and ever since i discovered it, i wont use anything else, no joke.

^^ No... I remember she was applying it all over even her collarbone with a huge kabuki brush.. it was meant as a glow type of thing... Wish I remembered the name of it.

Wow, this thread has really exploded the past few weeks :woot:

I have been using BE (foundation, bisque, veil and warmth) for the past two yrs, and I swear by it. Just ordered two eyeshadows and the eye brow brush today (which is rumored to be extremely good)

Here are the products I got:

Am SO excited to finally try the eye shadows!:heart:

Let us know how you like that Soul eyeshadow. It looks gorgeous online!

Are you referring to Warmth? It looks like a bronzer but it isn't. It's just supposed to make you look more vibrant.

Did you guys BE starter kit from sephora? What if it doesn't work out? Will they let me change kits?

You can sample it there, but just make sure you try the right brush.
Also, they do let you exchange. Just blame it on the sales girl that it didn't match..lol

No.. I swear I've looked through everything and it's not one of the products that is out there.

I think "warm radiance" is what you want. There is "warmth" and "warm radiance", which is like the "clear radiance" but browner.
I got it in that little pink make up bag at sephora. Comes with.

ok luna, i know what it was called; gossamer.

its kind of a shimmery powder, comes in a large size, and can be used on entire body like a shimmer. that is a nice product too. i sampled it at the BE boutique in orlando, but didnt buy it. on qvc they were selling it with the large buki brush.

its on qvc.com if you type 'gossamer' in the search box.
