Is Bare Minerals Worth Buying?

oooh!!I found the gossamer on the QVC website. I am looking for a highlighter and Bobbi Brown Shimmerbricks in Bronze is something I was planning on getting..but now I am torn:( . I wonder does it work for my Asian medium to dark tan , yellow undertone dry skin? I have tried the bobbi brown and it sure does look good...a compact for $35 but for some reason I am hesitating...and now I am thinking of this Gossamer.

A friend of mine now buys her BE/BM stuff on ebay. HAs anybody bought there alot? I am tempted to get it from there.

I love Bobbi Brown's shimmerbrick.. you really can't go wrong with either one... or both. ;)

if you have worse skin thn i do (which i doubt) cuz i was full of acne pits and scarring and what not-check out www.skintactix.com
the best stuff on this earth for acne. i swear by this, id put my life on it i like it that much!!!!! just go and read about it. it beats all that proactive and murad, neutrogena, and what not stuff....

I use bareminerals almost everyday. It does give a more ' polished ' and natural look and the mineral veil gives a wonderful glow. However, despite using the concealer cover brush and the kabuki brush, I don't feel like it covers very well for me.

bare minerals is so addicting! it works so well it's all i want to use, i have so much makeup that is going to go unused now!

also, if anyone is interested in using a cruelty-free brush, i use the Urban Decay Good Karma brushes, they work great with BE.

All Over Face Color

Well, you guys definitely sold me! I ordered the foundation yesterday and I can't wait to try it out. I was wondering if you had any advice for the All Over Face Colors. Unfortunately they don't sell the stuff at a store here so I can't try it on before buying it. I'm torn between buying Warmth or Glee. Is Warmth basically a bronzer? I'm kind of pale now because of winter and want something that I can use now to liven me up a bit. Nothing too harsh- just something that makes my skin look brighter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

^ Please refrain from buying Glee!
I'm south asian with olive skin and glee looks very dark on me

I use it,my daughters use it ,my sisters use it,my friends use it. We all swear by it.:winkiss:

MAC gave me the oilest skin ever and made my acne worse.

Bare Minerals, believe it or not (I still don't, but I should since seeing is believing) cleared up my skin. Dramatically. And it makes my face look fresh. The foundation goes on very light, which I love so it doesn't look glumpy and oily. I honestly can't even imagine switching to another brand.

i would just like to add a word for philosophy and their mineral foundation that is called "the supernatural". It comes in a little jar with a built in sponge buff applicator. I have the Bare Minerals but I prefer the philosophy. It is simpler and fewer steps.

id. Bare Minerals...... SOOOO WORTH IT!!!!! i love it.. it covers pretty good (i never thought of that happening) and it gives you a beautiful glow! reallyy :flower:

Yeah, the rose radiance is my favorite too!
It has also cleared up my skin a lot, I used to get major blackheads, but this helps a LOT.

just ordered the starter kit from sephora!!

Question for current users: Does is work well as a concealer for under eyes??

I think it works beautifully for under eye coverage (using the concealer brush, of course) :flower:

So well! My undereye area is naturally dark while I'm pale as a ghost, and I don't need anything but the powder to cover up.

Bare Minerals is the best makeup...and I think that it should be a staple in everyone's makeup bag. I am addicted to the all over face glow powder in Warm Radiance..its so natural and goes on so smooth..it works so coop with the skin that its like its not even there..but you can definitely see a glowing difference in digital photos..and its so clean you can sleep in it. what a dream:rolleyes:

I used to use Origins, because it was the only thing I could find that matched my skin tone (I'm a tanned asian). They discontinued the product I used, so I went looking for something to replace it. This was the first thing I tried, and I was really skeptical about it. But, it actually fit my skin tone and was a lot lighter than the regular loose powders. I would suggest, if you have access to a store, to go there and try it out. That's what I did. Instead of getting two different tones, like they suggested on the infomercial, I got two of the same. I think it's cheaper and more convenient to order it through the mail order system... and you get free gifts!

I use a little bit of the foundation.... and also the bisque for my dark under eye circles.

Works like a charm :)
