Is Bare Minerals Worth Buying?

when I tried it on it looked glittery in the container... but when i put it on it added like a glow to my skin... not glitter...

i have really oily skin and by the end of the school day today it was still really shiny even though I had BE on :( advice? should I put mineral veil before foundation and then again after warmth?

Also...where do you guys apply warmth? i tried the "E" method like on the DVD but it made me look funny....(i have fair skin..)

I gave in and bought the rose radiance with the angled brush and the fair foundation with the brush from QVC today..

The brushes alone cost so much money.. i couldn't resist.

put mineral veil on at the end and really buff in.carry the brush with you that you use the mineral veil in, because the left overs, you can just sweep over.
it takes some practice to get the right amt for you down.. :-)

oooh!!I found the gossamer on the QVC website. I am looking for a highlighter and Bobbi Brown Shimmerbricks in Bronze is something I was planning on getting..but now I am torn:( . I wonder does it work for my Asian medium to dark tan , yellow undertone dry skin? I have tried the bobbi brown and it sure does look good...a compact for $35 but for some reason I am hesitating...and now I am thinking of this Gossamer.

A friend of mine now buys her BE/BM stuff on ebay. HAs anybody bought there alot? I am tempted to get it from there.

I have really oily skin too and get shiny quick. I just use a regular compact to touch up but plan on getting the BE compact and putting mineral veil in that. I have been using the warmth as blush. If your fair maybe you should use less? A little of warmth goes a long way.

Has anyone seen the Bare Escentuals
Friendship Cruise on their website. Sounds fun! A great girls get away. To bad I won't be able to go.

Is anyone a member of their club? For $19.99/month they send 2 foundations and mineral veil. Sounds like a good deal.

i discovered a new use for my BE blushes and warmth. maybe you guys have tried it and i missed the boat, but here it is:

i took a heavy moisturizer (weleda skin food) and i mixed a little of the fruit cocktail blush and made a really beautiful cream blush. i put it on the apples of my cheeks and, how pretty! then, i mixed the warmth with the moisturizer too and rubbed it in llightly like a bronzer. its just another fun option to use the BE,especially if you prefer more cream-type products.

oooh interesting..
I also heard you can dust the BE over your eye lashes then use mascara over to thicken lashes.
OR clear lipgloss with any of the shimmery eye shadows...like gold is soooo pretty..very delicate.
