Is Bare Minerals Worth Buying?

Yes, BE is worth buying. I heard sooo many great reviews on it and saw the QVC show and seen the women wear it. It looked really good to me so I bought two foundations in light and medium light. both worked well with my skin. I've had it for a year now and its still full. I use it almost everyday.

It looks great...makes my skin glowing, has a natural feel to it so it doesnt feel like your wearing tons of foundation. It never gave me break outs unless I have my period. But other than that BE is well worth buying. I think it will be the only foundation I will ever use. Im so glad I bought it too, If I didnt I would still be searching for that perfect foundation. BE is the perfect foundation for people with serious facial scars or acne or if they dont even have those problems. BE has SPF 15 in it I think its 15 0r 20 but its great.

OK my foundation finished yesterday and rather than buy a new one, I thought I would try Bare Escentuals. I went all the way to Brent Cross in London to Sephora only to be told that Sephora has shut down all it's UK stores. Ugh what a nightmare! Does anyone know where I can get BE in London? I dont want to buy foundation off a website because I need to try the colours etc...

Oh wow! Sienna I feel so horrible >.< Go To Sephora! I'm sure they have locatons in london, etc. Wait... i just checked and tey dont! >.< Oh man... Well If you want, show us a pic of your face and we can help you find a shade? It's tres easy to find a shade in bare minerals, cause you can buy the shade like "Fairly Light" And it comes with "Light" (the Darker shade) so that you can adjust it to be darker!

Sybz are you saying that the darker fhade of foundation or the all over powder looks ashy? Because sometimes the sparkle in the all over powder can be bland I'd the colors don't match closely. So don't get a darker shade..all people undertones are very different depending on your days pH which is changed by weather, nutrition balance, anxiety level...anyone else heard of this phenomena?

I have used BM for over a year and still love it! It feels like I have no makeup on at all and it so easy to apply. I will use it forever :P

I love Bare Minerals. Bare Minerals is my Holy Grail. I will never buy another foundation. Yes, it's that good

ok, i have a question too...
ive been using bare minerals for a good two months or so, and i find it realy good, except that for me, it only stays on an hour or so on my face before it disapears. Does anyone know why that is, and what i can do or put on under my makeup to make it last more than one hour?

Thankx!!:flower:

Tatika you should sprintz your face with evian or with a non-alcoholic toner and then put on plenty of moisturizer with spf..then put on your foundation. It gives the foundation something to stick to...and try not to touch your face throughout the day...cuz sometimes we do that unconsciously..your makeup should last longer during the day without reapplying^_^

I absoluetly adore Bare Minerals. I've only been using it for about three months now but I would never go back to anything else. I like the fact that it looks like I'm not wearing any foundation at all. My skin has always been ok, but when I put this on it just gives a bit more confidence, knowing that people are looking at great skin and not how much make-up I have on my face. It has been my only solution to the extremely dark circles I have under eyes that have been with me since I was about 16.

It truly is great! It was lostinemotion that got me into it, so thank you.

I agree that BE is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!! They have a BE store at my mall which is awesome! I have some older people say that it sets in their wrinkles a bit, but luckily that is not a concern for me yet. It just sounds like they are using too much.

is BE a powder foundation?? It looks a bit weird on the pics... and do you apply it with a foundation brush? Im considering to buy it, is it really as fab as everyone says? whats so special about BE instead of ex. chanel? sorry, many questions here, but Im really wondering

^ BE has minimal ingredients and is talc-free which is good, especially for people with acne prone and sensitive skin.
Yes you apply it with a brush and this whole thread is about BE so I would say most people are very positive to it

If your skeptical, I would at least TRY it. You will probably end up loving it! Ask the sales assistant if you could try putting it on yourself, because usually they use a far too heavy hand for BE.

BE Eyeshadows are great for smoky eyes too, I have a dark purple shimmery one that's just gorgeous.

i bought it today! i'm excited.. i hope i didn't buy too dark ... i tried it myself because the SAs at Sephora were not too helpful

If it's too dark, you can return it to Sephora for another color even if you've opened it. Hope you like it!

RareMinerals™ Skin Revival Treatment

Has anyone tried this product yet. It really sounds amazing and a completely different approach to skin care. Maybe I should post this in the skin care forum but it also looks like make-up... I am intrigued :D

Thankyou so much! It is ok though, I found a very small range in the corner of Selfridges without any sales assistants though! I am not sure about the colour match but they hardly had any of the colours. The Colour Lab woman (another mineral based cosmetics company) grabbed me and made me try her products. Has anyone heard of Colour Lab? They will do a custom colour for you but I dont know how good their ingredients are. Ingredients are important to me. I dont use any creams/washes etc that aren't from Organic Pharmacy for example.

However a) I am not sure a mineral foundation is going to give enough coverage. I have a few scars from playing with my skin too much and from a break out I had when I got the flu a couple of weeks ago. I usually use a tinted moisturiser (Benefit's You Rebel because I worked there and was given a tester for free. I quite like it because it is light and dewy but I dont trust Benefit's ingredients AT ALL) with a bit of concealer on my scars. Colour Lab's concealer was too thick and wasn't powdery -it was a regular paste. Surely that isn't going to be as pure as the powder?

b) I dont like the powdery finish of the mineral powder. Normally I use liquid foundations/tinted moisturisers because it looks dewy. Do you guys find this a problem or are all the people who use BM into a matte finish anyway?
