ok, all this talk about old seasons has made me really want to see pictures of everyone's treasures!!

i'll start with the top i posted a few pages back. i don't know ... it's really cute, but i think it overwhelms me. perhaps the sleeves are too voluminous? maybe if i shortened them a bit ...

I love it just like it is, don't do nothing to it. It looks great on you.

tourist, i actually love the puff sleeve on you and its a nice one too, not typical. the only thing i would say is that if you want to keep the length as is, perhaps a narrower trouser would elongate the whole look.

I agree with you Aby - I bought two pairs of Etoile trousers - black and petrol blue - a carrot shape with a paperbag waist. They are so good but there was very little else i wanted.

I really dislike the boots - and all the hype that surrounds them.

I have so much Isabel marant from previous seasons that I have plenty to wear!

Helena, what are the trousers you bought called? they are lovely.

^ hey, I think they are called the Javier pants.... I was able to track down the last pair in a store and that's what they were called. Hope that helps!

^the dress is gorgeous, it's very similar to the one she made last year, but haven't seen it yet in stores.

I got 2 Etoile items today: a jacket & a printed dress.

i sort of agree...
i think that the cropped trouser is cutting you off more than the top being overwhelming...
i like them both- but not together...

i would also suggest a narrow, full length bottom to balance the volume of the top...
maybe even with a little bootie that has a heel...

OR
what about with a cuffed short for spring!!!
that is what i would like to see the most...
with some cute flat or wedge...

i think that top is great!
you should be wearing that!-

thanks for the styling ideas softgrey! it seems the verdict is out, those pants are no good with that top on me i haven't worn shorts in so long, but i have to admit, that is definitely the cutest idea for that top. hmm ...

You just never know, there's an Etoile dress I really want too but I've called every single stockist in the UK and noone bought it. I'm going to London on friday to get my IM for the season and those trousers are top of my list.

On a side note, I'm so irritated about this ridiculous markup on IM... Some of the pricing is just too high to justify... there were several things I would have love to have from the mainline IM and now I'm just going to get one or two things b/c I can't justify spending that much. I hope she lowers her prices after this season but seeing how most things are selling out I can't imagine that she will.

There were loads of those trousers on sale at Liberty last season, but today I've been there and i think i only saw one pair of cropped ones.

IM main line seems to have created a gold rush, almost everything the shops bought seems to have sold out. I still remember a time when full racks of clothes got to the sales. The Hot pink dress did exist at Aime like the other poster said, but of course it was not there anymore. Oh well...

On the other hand I FINALLY can join the club of the regulars in this thread that bought the low suede boots. They are so pretty that is almost a crime to wear them. Not that i can wear them in the in the near future, it's been raining for days...
