Had lots of coup de coeur for Etoile this season. Whereas there only a couple of of pieces from the main line that I'd like to get on sales.

Like the Cafena and the Esta bandage dresses.

I remember seeing a similar top from Etoile at a small boutique, but I can't find it anywhere anymore. It's white lace, bell sleeves and a bit short like cropped...it's haunting me for not buying it!!!

I have the Esta dress. Got it on ebay as it was sold out everywhere in the UK. It's actually quite tight as the entire dress is made of some sort of rigid elasticated band and the bondage bits just hands of it. Very different from similar mummy dresses from Alexander Wang which are more flexible and easy to put it on. The dress looks fab, it's just hard to put it on.

After paying an arm and a leg, I finally secured one of my favourite dresses ever from a few seasons back. I never bought it back then and always regretted it. I bought it in a petrol blue silk though, but it's this one here. I'm tempted to buy the cotton versions that have been floating on eBay too

It's a size 3 though and too big, so I actually need to get it tailored too, so I haven't worn it yet

when is the fall range going to start showing up in stores? i just saw 3 new items come up on NAP, and am tempted to purchase now, but havent seen any of the etoile range yet so dont know if to wait until i can see if there are things i like better ... please post any pics you have of new season. cant wait!!

me too, but i am debating the sizing! i have that and the shorter version in my shopping bag. i never know whether to get the size 1 or 2. I have the mainline boucle jacket from last season and i love the fit in general but the arms are a bit tight and i dont think it looks nice ... but the rest fits well. often the size 2 is too big in the body and shoulders ... ugh so unsure!

I finally checked out the Isabel NY boutique yesterday. The staff were super friendly, and surprisingly there was still quite a bit of good stuff left. I ended up getting the Renata Jumpsuit in the yellow/blue pattern, which is incredibly comfortable. Perfect for what has already started out as a super hot summer....

I was also lucky to find the Fosfo Veste at Stuart & Wright. The fit on this jacket is unbelievable. They had one more jacket left if anyone is interested.

After chatting with S&W about the fall buy, I'm really excited to see what comes in!

nice buys Mona! Would love to see how you style the jacket. What sounds exciting in the fall buy? It's hard to really make out anything that I really like from the show.

I purchased this Etoile spring coat from the Barney's sale. It comes with a belt, but I have no idea how to make that work, the coat is a really stiff cotton. I really like it, it's so easy to wear, and the sale price was good, but I am wondering if it's too similar to things I already own ... that's the problem with sales sometimes!

The guy I spoke with at S&W said so much of the collection is ultra low-waisted pants, but the NY woman (as well as other areas, I'm sure, don't really wear low pants). So they focused the order on ruched pants (kind of like the top of Aby's skirt and my jumpsuit) in heavy silk fabrics with amazing drape. He seemed really excited about them. A baggy, slouchier pant is not one that typically looks good on me. But one thing I find with Isabel is silhouettes I don't think will flatter me, but try on just for fun (like the jumpsuit), surprisingly work well. So I'm definitely interested to try them. He described the buy as very 'old Isabel'.

As for the Fosfo jacket, it seems quite versatile. I tried it on with leggings and a linen tank, and it looked great. I also plan to wear it with jeans and a tank, or with a skirt/dress for work. I will try to remember to take a picture when I wear it next.

I like your Etoile jacket very much. Seems like a really good basic. But if it is too similar to jackets you already have, maybe return it and save up for fall

Pretty much. Though I guess that's what happens when a designer does a complete 180 and goes from not allowing their clothes to be sold online to becoming part of the N.A.P. nation...

Parlour X have some IM on sale too. I'm tempted by the Esta dress, but I just bought the lace dress version of the Fraga lace top - I'm not sure what the name is. It looks similar to the Tizan dress, but in dark silver lace.

I really like that Etoile fall coat that is now sold out from NAP posted on the previous page. Way too similar to the coat I got last fall to even think about it, but just wanted to say that I love the shape of her drop shoulder coats.

I just received my Etoile new coat from Net-a-Porter. It's over sized and the sleeves are long (to the person who was asking if they were shorter). The coat is lovely worn (even with all this heat in London) but it's also a bit itchy so it has to be worn with a long sleeve top or shirt. I hope it helps.
