In #2027, the girl on the far right on the second row down has the same shoes as me. I see them all the time in FRUiTS magazine for some reason.

Where does Japanese fashion scene get its influence? What are the different ways of dressing (apart from the "harajuku girls"-style)?
I always wondered myself too...:ermm:
I do know they are very exposed to fashion (street and high fashion). It seems very part of daily life
It would be easy for me to ask them about famous fashion designers and receive a response, even Japanese that I think would have no interest in fashion!

:innocent:Well, it took me awhile, but I finally have more style-arena pics! Four weeks worth of every neighborhood! :ninja:

^_^Please note that the detail shot is underneath everyone's photo!

First up is Harajuku!!!

Oh I miss yo' pictures so much Luxury's Lap. Just because I'm too lazy too check out the style arena website myself. Thanks so much :P

Thank you so much Luxury's Lap for so many great pics!! ^_^

On another note, does anyone know where Uniqlo in Tokyo is?
And are there any cheaper (than designer/boutique) shops in Tokyo? I have a spending limit of up to £80, and I'm wondering where I could go for a shopping spree? My style is more laid-back like Shibuya, so I'm not really looking for any crazy kawaii stuff like Harajuku ... (but I shall be going there for a good round of lolita-spotting! ) Please help guys! Anything is appreciated... I also posted this in the Tokyo shopping thread, but they seem to be a bunch of non-responsive guys... :ermm:

Hye Park Lover - Uniqlos are really common in Tokyo so you won't have a problem finding one. But remember there are Uniqlos in London; the clothes are pretty much the same, the only difference is how they arrange the clothes in the mannequins and how they market the clothes.

I suggest you try exploring other shops in Tokyo. The greatest thing about Japan is how there are soo many really small, interesting shops and you don't need to look too hard for them. So just walk around, absorb the atmosphere, and you'll find some cheap and cheerful stores soon enough.

Just go and explore! Don't plan too much in advance!

thanks everyone for your advices!

I wish I could just go & explore, but I'm going with another Japanese person, and I think we might have very different tastes  But I'll just let it play itself out, I'm sure it'll be great spontaneously :)
