Japanese Street Style #1

Cheers again Luxury! ^_^
I'm back from my grand trip to Japan, and it was amazing.
I have sneakily snapped a couple of people, but not that many... it proved harder than I thought to casually take pictures of people whilst pretending not to :innocent:  And when I finally get the camera ahoy and spot my next fashionable victim, they usually just dodge out of the way thinking that I am trying to take pictures of the scene behind them, so I ended up with quite a lot of people in awkward mid-run pose pictures  ... I'll post the good pictures I did catch...

Here they are, taken by me:

These were taken in Kyoto:

Argh, this is taking too long... I'll post the rest tomorrow.

well done. did you enjoy japan? it's number one of my places to visit list...i wish to afford it some day. you are very lucky

I'm part-Japanese from Osaka. Apparently, real Japanese fashionistas believe it's Osaka - and not Tokyo - where all the trends start. (^_-)

I'm going to Japan from 16 Dec until 7 Jan! Saitama and Nagoya for a couple of weeks (but no one cares about them) and then I'll be in Osaka for a week and Tokyo for a few days! Plan to get in plenty of shopping.

And once I'm finished high school in June, I'm going to Japan for a gap year working holiday! Plan on getting a job in some cool fashion store, hehe.

Thanks BokuAlec and Tifa! ^_^

Yeah, I loved Japan Tifa ... I don't know, for some reason, I loved the atmosphere & vibe in Japan much much more than that in England .... people just seemed to be more upbeat & happier, and life more vibrant. Not to mention the shopping opportunies were crazy (in an unbelievably wild & imaginative way), whatever you could imagine, you could probably find it somewhere ... there were things that you could find only in Tokyo, and there were things that only Tokyo can offer! In fact I loved it so much that I have since made similar gap year plans as BokuAlec ... I want to go & live the year there, and probably teach English or Chinese or something....

Sorry back on topic, I'm sorry guys that I've procrastinated for so long to post the other stuff I've taken, imageshack is not working for me at the moment, it just keeps coming up with "page cannot be displayed" stuff ... I promise I'll try again tomorrow (unlikely) or thursday (ahhh... more likely!). Sorry about this guys!

Gaijin Attack! Ahaha I Fkn love it. Take a cue from the perverts and invest in some high-tech spy cameras next time <3<3

^ LOL if I ever get rich enough, I'll consider it the next time I go

OK, here are the rest of the photos... I'm so sorry that I was being a lazy butt yesterday & procrastinated again! :ninja:

By me

I like that street scene on the right. It's like a pic from some alternate universe where everyone's stylish, hehe. The lady is so cute and I think she looks really good. And the guy all the way on the right is hawt. He looks like he has a nice bag too.

Ah, when I see cool Japanese guys I wish I looked good with straight hair. But alas, I shall try to be content with my natural curls.

You are so lucky to visit Japan Hye Park Lover! I'm so desparate to go shopping there! I was wondering if someone does not know Japanese (ok, it's me :P) how hard is it to shop there? Is the transaction difficult when you pay for stuff in stores and how was your experience buying items? Sorry for all the questions I'm just curious and want to know what to expect when I go to Japan...cuz I will....someday. ^_^ Thanks!

It's no problem shopping in Japan. Usually the registers will have the price displayed so you can just read the total from there. I can't see where you'd need Japanese.

However, I don't think you'd be able to rely on store assistants to speak English. So as long as you're content to shop in silence and not ask for help, it's fine. =)

Does that answer your question?

Thanks BokuAlec for the info! And, yes it did answer my question. I actually like to be left alone from sales assistants so that wouldn't be a problem. Thanks again!

How you described it sounds great. As someone whos never been there it just looks so vibrant, colourful and interesting. I think the reason I'm attracted to it as a place to visit is how different it is from the UK. Once you've seen one high street here, you've seen them all...

Tifa, I feel you're right on the money ... it was one of the reasons why I liked Japan so much as well. May I ask, where in the UK do you live?

I'm sorry, I'll get back on topic.
Since Luxury's Lap hasn't been around for a few weeks, I think I'll do a temporary shoe-filler and post the latest round of shots.
(Have they been posted already?)
I'm not as well motivated as LL and I'm too lazy to post all the separate shots individually, so I'll do a general link-giving, and you can follow up on them yourselves..! :P
