i love Japanese Street fashion , too . This style is very very wonderful . . I'm living in Europe and can't find J-clothes

For me I think u don't nessessarily need to be in Japan or Asia to find Jstreet style clothes, it really depends on how you wear or mix and match stuff. Some of the people's clothes that r posted in some pix r pretty basic but its made interesting through layering or in the way its worn. Of course, I think that westernized subsitutions in Japanese street style may not be exactly as cool as the pictures posted here but it'll still b pretty good looking.

i know what you mean...the thing is that a lot of japanese girls have boyish figures...so they don't seem to mind the boxy look...and can often pull it off better because of a narrow frame...lucky them...or not...depending on your preference...

:flower:

i say "lucky them". i find myself gravitating toward the drop-hip one piece dresses and straight boxy shirts, then i have to slap my own wrist to bring me back down to reality >_< although i see some stores are finally making pants to fit girls with a little junk in the trunk. i give the credit to more calcium in young japanese' diets ^_^

This thread is so inspiring. I always thought of Japanese Street Style as being OTT and cartoon-like. But I am in love with most of the pictures. It is very individual and colourful. It takes really confidence to carry off most of these looks. More please!

I really wish I knew how to pull off Japenese street style. :( I just can't combine my clothes in ways that look good, and I don't know how to buy things that would go together like that if combined.
*sighs* I totally agree... I wish I was just born with style naturally :)

I love Fruits, it's on my coffee table and my friends and I really enjoy flipping through it.

I watch a lot of Japanese (and Hong Kong) films and I always end up thinking "where can I buy that top/pants/shoes/jacket?" blah blah.

Japanese fashion didn't really strike me, or make sense when I first came here... Now that I look at all these wonderful pictures, I think its amazing how people constantly have this runway look with them, and yet manage to pull it off. Through the years I've really learned to appreciate such fashion concious people. its beautiful.

I just can't stop staring at this coat...

Lovely! Lovely! Lovely!

I want to find meet her and ask very nicely "May I steal that coat please?"

japanese have similar styles--the layered look.
almost every single person you'll see walking down
the street will be wearing the "same" look.
imo, where did the individuality go?
don't get me wrong, they have cute clothes, but
c'mon. everyone's into the same look.
