Finally a site that contributes to The amazing Fashion sense of the Japanese!!    :D :D

How do they do it? Mix it all together in a crazy way and looking effortlessly cool in it?

Its amazing!:D

it reminds me of the fun times wearing wire in my turtle necks and vintage swimsuits to school...it curious, experimental...i like the whole mentality of 'drawing outside the lines' throwing it out there despite conventions and seeing what happens...that kind of engagement should define fashion.

:woot: JP st. style will always be my fav.

Its just awesome!!!!!!!!
I just wish that someday I could go to JP just to see the people in those lovely outfits

I wasn't sure, especially due to the manba and FRUiTS statement, but my intention was only to correct possible misinformation or contribute to the thread. No slight intended upon misahoi. ;)

correct misinformation? i thought thats what i was doing in the original posts?

They're somewhat rare outside of Shibuya and Shinjuku but when they're in their element, they come out in droves. You really don't see much of them but they're not nearly as amusing as the male counterpart, the "sentaa boi" look.

i saw some in tokyo disneyland- its where i got the pic  hmmm... but i dont see how a centaa boy in his blonde hair and pristine burberry blouse can outbeat the strangeness of a girl in a giant hamster costume!

tomorrow im taking pics on the street on the afternoon with a bud! ive been too embarassed to ask people so far so i hope i get some good ones tomorrow:blush: ~ wish me luck! :flower:

u know, too extreme and too crazy!

Okay, it took a while, going through the entire thread in one go on dial-up but I managed it *wipesbrow* - I feel like I have had a masterclass in Japanese street fashion. My favourite picture is the one of the lady in the blue block dress with a yello cardie over the top. she looks gorgeous and very reminscent of sarah jessica parker (i heart sjp).

Living in London, I am quite lucky to be privvy to young japanese fashionistas first hand, and they really brighten up the underground. I like the fact that where there is one there is many. It is like a mural of colour injected into the day. I am also a secret visitor of camden market on the hunt for japanese fashion. And belive me there is LOADS of design/ers. I find it very wearable IMO, though I also find that some of the fashion is very 'young' but there are some key pieces that you really feel the need to own. The V-neck top/dresses (I own too many!), the drop waist flapper style dresses,The pea coats, motorcycle jackets... The only thing left to conquer is HATS. I am not a hat person but this thread makes me want to change that!
Thanks to whoever posted the ebay link for purplefusion. I have gone B.I.N mad!

N.B people in Brighton have been dressing (like) along that lines for years though IMO:

boots over jeans :p

Yes! I like that look too. It's amazing how that trend is back. I remember when I was in high school (10th grade ('94) and I wore my jeans inside of my boots....its baaaaacccccckkkkk. :D

Is MilkFed still popular in Japan?

i dont think its quite as popular now as when it first came out... i was in the boutique not too long ago and there weren't very many people in there.... and the clothes are just SO BORING to be worn by the hipsters of ura-hara IMO. i only like the brand for the name (which still gives me the giggles, its so silly  ) runner might have some facts for this though with his expansive knowledge on japanese brands ^_^

I am looking for Runner...."oh runner, where art thou?" I desire your wisdom and knowledge on Japanese brands...MilkFed in particular. :flower:
Mishahoi, the name MilkFed does make me thirsty..... "Got Milk?"
