Good collection, very sexy. Not his/the best though. I really see that the couture designers (well except for John Galliano ) are grabbing back to the luxurious looks that made up couture 40-50 years ago, but then taking in a modern 2006 way... And I love that. Real couture seems to be seeping back in fashion!

wow, i love the setting with all the lanterns...

and jpg's collection always seem to be all over the place, but i think it makes sense.. i rather like this...

the laterns are a very surprising but wonderful addition

He's really infusing some of his fixation with south asian culture into this, like someone previously said it has a kind of opium den feel to it, it's a bit grimy, and debaucherous. Very reconizable as Gaultier, nothing terribly new, yet I don't think we've seen anything new from any of the HC shows, I just find this to be a delightful variation of Gaultier's form. Some very intricate clothes, exoticism, I really like most of it, want to see more of it.

Better than last season, by far. That plum garment in the last picture posted, with all of those minute little pleats is absolutely stunning (well, from what I can see)

I have a feeling I'll like a lot of the things going on in the collection, but the theme feels a bit done already. I'm sure there will be plenty of gorgeous pieces in there though.
