It's all about those eyes, which imo looks like that of a cat, so I don't get the hype. And anyway, others who are saying it's only his mugshot which looks good is telling the truth. He looks worn in all of the post mugshot pics.
@Mulletproof: This bloke 'beat a 16year old guy to a pulp' (amongst other crimes). In my mind you'd have to inherently be filled with all sorts of wickedness and a complete lack of sensitivity to do what he did. Context aside. Yes, he did his time but then he somehow got himself into trouble again. Lets not kid ourselves, he's no Jean Valjean!
Maybe it's really the responsibility of the American justice and prison system to make sure these guys are thoroughly rehabilitated and equipped for a world where there will always be a proverbial X painted on their backs. Now I'm not saying society should not have to alter its stance, but rather that a realistic and conducive move, which could yield quicker progress, would be for the criminal to emerge more confident. It's much easier to change one man instead of a mass of God knows how many millions. I'm sorry to say, it is bound to take decades before society shifts how they regard criminals - you'd have to take a close look at the concept of criminal records and how detrimental they are, companies shunning anyone with past crimes on absurd grounds etc etc. And ultimately of this contributes to the public's perception.
I do wonder whether the ones coming to Meeks' defense would have given him any form of attention if he wasn't this attractive? Or how different this situation is to a terribly attractive female convict walking the streets upon release. Because what we should instead be talking about is how thirsty and superficial a certain sect of society (FASHION) is for exploitation that they even troll gaols in a quest for fresh blood. That is a new low.
