Jil Sander S/S 06 Milan

I like the b&w trouser, hihi. It's more HL than JS imo, but it gives some contrast:-P

One of the strongest collections so far (including, new york, london and milan)..... breathtaking.

so helmut lang! nut i like it. I cant wait to see Raf take this collection on!!

i like it. i can see some of these pieces being worn by guys as well (some of the pants and shirts, not the dresses obviously...)

i agree softgrey, its unusual to see less than hideous shoes on the jil sander runway :ninja:

I feel like I've seen this before, but it doesn't prevent me from likeing it

i agree with all the positive vibes that the rest are getting in here, it's...
surprisingly nice.

I AM SO CONFUSED: why is it that jil sander always looks more jil sander when jil sander's not there?!? lol

shoes loook good...which is unusual for j sander...

 VERY unusual, I might add.

Apart from the black/white outfit on Gemma, I don't like any of it.

Finally! Just when I thought this season at Milan was becoming skipable Raf saved some of it. He fits the Jil Sander brand perfectly, love it, however: somebody feed the models!

It's not Raf yet.

From NY times (and I agree, btw)

Until Raf Simons presents his first women's collection for Jil Sander next February the label is in limbo. A team of house designers and stylists put together the collection shown today, and the coolness of the hooded shifts and minimalist coats in white cotton canvas made one think of the calm of a sanitarium. What fun. The lines were simple and the details annoyingly studied (like a row of mini-pockets on a plain white dress or random channels of buttons), and white mesh shower slippers only added to the impression that this collection was just holding space until there is a master in the house.

Don't like it so far, but I'm definitely feeling this more than the other stuff happening in Milan. I'm hoping when Raf takes over it'll be Raf for women but I don't think that will be the case. Either way I can't wait to see what he puts out.

I guess we'll have to wait next season for Mr. Simons' complete rendition of Jil Sander. Fall/Winter clothing is a little easier to play on volume and porportions, which he is known for. And also to experiment with some of Sander's state-of-the-art high tech textiles; like her chemicaly treated padded cashmere .
