Jil Sander S/S 2014 Milan

I find this quite boring, nothing looks even remotely exciting or new, and the shoes and horrible belts are worst part of it:doh:

wow this is bad. it pains me to say that but not only is it unexciting but looks cheap and haphazard for somebody so typically sublime in her aesthetic.

She didn't move forward, it's stuck at some point.

Miss Raf Simons for Jil Sander. This what's trendy now...crop top, flat shoes, wide volumes...nothing special.

I don't understand the silhouettes at all. There's minimal, and then there's dull; this is the latter.

I have to agree... It's a pity she hasn't been able to take her own route this time. Sure, minimalism is trendy and most in that alley is what she originally came up with (clunky shoes, awkward length skirts and voluminous jackets), but now its a trend everywhere and at the prices she charges I expect to get a difference to, say, Sportmax or Stella McCartney. Maybe she wants to play it safe and commercial after her 2nd comeback or she's just short on ideas.

Could it be any better? this is great!! this is what she does best and she keep ding it.

I actually liked the first third or so of the show, and then it went spiralling downhill. It looks like she was playing with waist cuts - putting belts up high, slinging them low, using crop tops, cinched waists in jackets/coats, etc, but it doesn't really come off, and nor do the prints or fringy pieces.

I agree - overall the show lacks the clean coherence of previous seasons.

her aesthetic doesn't suit the way fashion is consumed now, even though she is trying with the prints it doesn't really pop on the screen, it's all too subtle.

her stuff should be judged in real life instead...

how have her sales been doing since she's back?

The fringe at the end is painful... like a few pieces and I bet the coats will all be to die for, but I'm disappointed. I thought last season was a step forward from a rocky start, but it's not going in that direction anymore..

the first collection i like since she came back! i really love some of the shapes here and in the video i think it looks a lot better than it comes across in these pics though
