Jon & Kate Plus 8

I wonder why we don't already have this thread.

Users talked about it all the time in The Etc Etc Thread [which I can't seem to find].

I just KNEW they would have marital problems, but what couple doesn't have them eventually. They way they sit on the couch, the body language was so distant. And they way they talked about their day, it never sounded positive. "We went to the park which was fun" would come out so monotonous from Kate.

Thoughts? Does anyone actually watch this besides myself?

I watch this all the time, I find it extremely fascinating, and not only because I love children. The fact that they have 8, 8!, kids just blows my mind, and the kids seem to be so well-behaved (at least on tv...but editing can do wonders.) I guess growing up not getting tons of attention teaches independence- great for the kiddies! Anyways, how could they ever have time to really build or nurture a relationship while raising so many babies and always being taped?! I'm not surprised they have issues. I'm definitely watching the premiere aka the face off tonight, anyone with me?!

I watch this show and I LOVE it!
Sure Kate may seem a control freak, and Jon a laid back guy, but think about it ... they have 8 kids! Imagine if we were in that situation. They could have chosen selective breeding, but they decided against it and took on the challenge to raise 6 kids, adorable kids at that alongside their first set of twins. Even if you're not fond of their show, you have to admit that they have made successful strides in raising 8 children, and the fact that they have a reality TV show to broadcast their daily lives doesn't hurt much, I mean it must pay well I would've gone crazy with 8 children, to be totally honest and I give Jon and Kate HUGE kudos for remaining somewhat sane during their lifetime
That being said, the whole media controversy surrounding them is unfortunate, and it probably was due to the fact that they did agree to a reality TV show and therefore are now celebrities. With fame comes tabloid, and I hate to see a beautiful family broken up
I wish for them the best. Can't wait for the new season!

Anyway, I mostly watch for the complete cuteness of the kids (except the one twin, whom I find annoying ) but I think once you watch more, Kate kind of grows on you. She gets the worst comments, but I think Jon is just as mean a lot of the time.

i saw this last night with my roommate...its absolutely heartbreaking..it was my first time watching it though.

i loved Jon and Kate and really thought they would never get divorced....i cant decide if i believe that he didnt cheat....I LOVE THEM!!! and wish they would not break up....but it really seems that she has changed since the last season...shes not as attentive to the kids and she wears a lot of designer clothes now....seems like the fame really got to her and i think thats why Jon wants out
