Karl Lagerfeld S/S 10 Paris

Karl Lagerfeld is a genius, but I think his work is greatest with Chanel. Total opposite of Galliano, whose work is best with his own label.

I wonder if Lagerfeld ever wanted to design menswear for his own label, because his tailoring and structure with his womenswear suits.

Very structured. I like it. The black coat with 3/4 length sleeves is gorgeous, as are the dresses shown at the end. They have a sort of futuristic vibe about them.

The tailoring is always fantastic but this time it's elevated by some great design elements, especially the metallic finishes.

I like the shapes and proportions of everything. Let's just hope that Chanel is not similar to this.

is it just me..or was anyone else expecting a little bit more?
i live for karl, and i think this collection was well done, but for some reason i wanted it to be more theatrical, and see him use a little bit of color. but meh he never disappoints

I really liked it. Granted, it's monotone, but Lagerfeld always does really well with monotone. It's very Victorian-esque. I think it's elegant and although tame for Lagerfeld, you can still tell it's him.

I love this collection, but for some reason, I just feel that this will be better shown in NYC, not Paris......just a thought.

Agreed. (But probably for different reasons. :innocent: Unless you were thinking world domination. You weren't, right?)

But I see what you mean. This line doesn't seem right for Paris at all.

I liked all the looks this season but it reminded me to much of Fendi.
