Not crazy about the white fuzzy sweater but the rest of her outfit looks pretty nice, and wish her hair always looked like this. I feel she could do so much with her style but it usually misses the mark for me. Its either trying to hard or sloppy

She's certainly hoping for a warm reception after having recent works panned by critics and on Tuesday night (March 22), Katie Holmes turned up for a special screening of "The Decision" in New York City.

Held at Lavo while hosted by the "Dawson's Creek" darling and John Freida, the red carpet affair drew out attendees including Tinsley Mortimer, Alison Brie and the lovely Julie Benz, among others.

Decked out in a white tuxedo jacket with a black top, black pants and polka-dot heels, Miss Holmes' latest offering is a short film in support of the new John Frieda Precision Foam Color - with Katie playing "a high-profile actress who decides to sack her colorist and dye her own hair instead" named Joan Hudson.

Talking about the role and product in which it endorses, the 32-year-old recently dished, “I love the idea of doing a short film about something I feel is really important to women! I also love being a part of promoting a product that is available to all women."
