Keira Knightley

I think the My Fair Lady remake is a bad idea. I don't understand why they can't leave well enough alone. I can't imagine how you would improve this movie unless you raised Audrey Hepburn from the dead.

BTW, Keira should mix it up bit and do a non-costumey movie. Something modern.

I disagree with you. Its not like their remaking breakfast at tiffanys..

Daldry is right. It was all about the costumes, and songs. And rex harrison.

Plus I think keira is going to get a lot of schtick for doing this. So no point of being her big critics.
And I have a feeling Daldry will modernize this a bit.

And whoever is saying something about being sick of keiras period pieces.. idk if you know.. but she just filmed a movie called Last Night. Which is a modern film. So you can celebrate keiras modern-ness.

^yeah, hopefully Daldry will modernize the re-make of My Fair Lady a bit...

Is Keira done filming Last Night?

Yes, Last Night filming has been done for awhile. And that is a MODERN movie, for all of those wishing she would do one. I happen to like that Keira does period pieces. Why not? She looks gorgeous in the costumes and she always does them brilliantly. I agree- My Fair Lady is..not as classic as some of Hepburn's other films so I don't mind it so much. Not to mention Keira singing? I'm all in. Sure, I'd prefer they never remade anything but if they are going to remake something, they might as well remake it with an actress I admire. Plus- to keep it on topic, I can't wait to see how amazing Keira is going to look in all her upcoming films- especially The Beautiful and the Damned. Keira as a flapper? Perfection!

i actually like the outfit, though i have to agree that it kinda ages her.

but then again, i agree with gliterry bug. it's not keira's movie premiere, so it's just right that she chose to wear something less spectacular. otherwise, keira would instantly outshine michelle!! lol.

but i dont want to know what Keira looks like as a 30yr. old business executive at a bank.:p

I can't really see her in My Fair Lady but maybe i'll be proven wrong and she'll be fabulous

i like you kylen, we see eye to eye. ^_^

I think she's a great actress. I loved The Dutchess because there was so much subtly to it and her inflection and expressions spoke volumes. Although, after reading the book about the real Dutchess I'm a little disappointed. The movie was more romantic and enjoyable visually of course, but I think the book painted a far more interesting woman in general. There was so much more to her life other than having an affair.

But to get back on topic: period pieces rock because of the costumes and Keira was built for poofy skirts and corsets! But I am looking forward to seeing her in a modern piece as well. Just to spice it all up and so she can be in clothing that is pretty and practical... wow I need sleep.....

^ Well now I need to see 'The Duchess' :) I think Keira is a very versatile actress and her recent filmography only proves that she has what it takes to play many different roles extremely well...I'm looking forward to seeing her in the 'My Fair Lady' remake :)

And good night Captain Lydia :flower:

I agree with all of those saying Kei is a good actress. What I enjoy most about her, in her fashion sense and otherwise, is that she is always learning and growing. She did not come onto the scene being perfect, she has grown and I find that much more admirable really.

That's exactly how I feel about her. I never disliked her but I didn't always think she was the best actress. I think she's gotten much better though and she's getting there (I though she was great in The Duchess). Her style's great too, she's always elegant no matter what she wears

I like when she wears dresses that flatter her- that Erdem one is a perfect example of that.

I still have mixed feelings about that dress. I like the bottom, but the top never really looked quite right to me. She's gorgeous though.
