Keira Knightley

Some sad news today! Paul of Keiraweb.com spoke to Keira's agent who has delivered the following news : No more King Lear. The entire project has been shelved. She is still not confirmed for My Fair Lady (though I think that is just bs at this point- I am pretty sure she is doing it, everyone attached to the project mentions her), and..the WORST? She has NOT shot any new Chanel promos despite all the rumors and the alleged interview at the fashion show where she delievered that news. Who knows if that is all legit, but. I'm bummed about the latter- I was looking forward to more Chanel.

^^ No Chanel!!?? This is not possible.... :o

I know, and I thought she was the one who said it. And she is playing Zelda, who most of Fitzgerald's characters were based on, or so I've read. I can't wait. Apparently they were both insane. I can't wait to see who her Fitzgerald is.

^^ Well, Zelda actually was mentally ill, poor woman, but Scott was only really insane when he ingested a couple of bottles of Scotch a day, which was frequently...:(

And I thought Keira said she and Karl had already done the pictures, too...

Odd thing about the Chanel's photo. Because it was a direct quote from her. Who knows?

Hopefully more photos will come through from this event she attended.

Luella And Lula’s Post-Show Dinner
February 24, 2009

Luella Bartley’s intimate dinner Monday night at Soho landmark Kettner’s wasn’t just a post-show celebration. Also on the “to-fête” list was the launch of Bartley’s new bag and the just-published eighth edition of Lula magazine, British Vogue alum Leith Clark’s biannual fashion rag. Bartley collaborated on the latest edition (issue five’s guest editor was Kirsten Dunst) and current cover model Chanel Iman joined Keira Knightley—in straight-from-the-catwalk Luella— Rupert Friend, and Erin Wasson for the sit-down dinner. Music video director Kinga Burza and boyfriend James Righton (of the Klaxons), Daisy de Villeneuve, and photographer David Sims (among other London scenesters) rounded out the group at the restaurant that was a one-time haunt of Oscar Wilde. We’re sure Wilde—clotheshorse and wordsmith that he was—would have approved.

I loveeeee her look at the party. I'm glad she attended some form of a fashion week event.

I'm also really sad for the chanel promos not being done. And it sucks king lear is shelved, economy?

^^ May well be...I think a lot of projects that are in the planning stages are going to be shelved- if not forgotten completely, in the days to come... Can you inagine being a producer right now- going to a bank and saying "Yeah, we'd like $80 million to get this thing started- we'll let you know when that runs out and we need more..." I don't think so...

The premiere of "Queen Victoria" is next week, and her boyfriend Rupert is playing Prince Albert, so hopefully keira will turn up to the premiere! *Fingers Crossed*

I'd say that there was a huge possibility that she will be there. She went to Berlin for Cheri. I must say that her boyfriend Rupert Friend is having a good year and it's only February! He also loves the period films like Keira!

i love that she and rupert stick to what they like. who cares they do period peices. someone has to, and who better to do them? i'd rather her do period pieces than have a career like kate hudson or something like that, no offense to any of her fans here.

I like Keira in period pieces too, she seems to fit into the category really well

I love period movies, but I would like to see Keira in some different roles.
I can't wait for her movie with Guillaume to come out!
Keira + Guillaume + NYC = perfection!!

Keira Knightley will star in the sci-fi thriller "Never Let Me Go" for Fox Searchlight. Mark Romanek ("One Hour Photo") will direct the cloning-themed pic, which will also star Andrew Garfield and Carey Mulligan.

Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich are producing through their London-based DNA Films banner. Alex Garland, who penned the screenplay, is producing as well. Film 4 is also involved as a producer.

Film is set to lense in April in London and Norfolk, England.

Story revolves around a trio who grew up in a boarding school with no contact or knowledge of the outside world until they discover they are clones grown for the sole purpose of organ donation.

DNA, which has a longstanding partnership with Searchlight, has teamed with the specialty label on a number of films including "The Last King of Scotland" and Danny Boyle’s "Sunshine" and "28 Days Later."

Knightley is attached to star in several films, including "The Beautiful and the Damned" and the Columbia Pictures remake of "My Fair Lady."
