I liked this version of P&P. I thought it was funny and cute. I must admit I missed the BBC version that was able to go into more detail, but I thought it did well for what it could do with so much to tell.Keira was great and Mr.Darcy dude was no Colin Firth, but I think he did well for taking on such a legendary role. Keira doesn't mind showing her boobs as long as it's condusive to the plot she said. I was shocked the first time I saw them in The Hole though. I couldnt' believe it. It breaks my heart that you didn't all love the new P&P. I found it to be altogether delightful! I've loved the book ever since I was 14 and own the BBC version. True that it wasn't that faithful to the book but i feel that Joe Wright made a beautiful interpretation. Keira Knightley was lovely as always... i love her more because of this movie and I thought Matthew Mcfadyen did a brilliant portrayal of Mr. Darcy...he caputured a vulnerability that was so endearing which, although i love him dearly, Colin 'wet shirt' Firth didn't have.
p.s. i am also an english major...yay!

I personally prefer the polished lady look. The boho look never suited her my opinion. The only thing she should ditch now is her pouty lip look. she SO doesn't need it! her lips are gorgeous!

I don't think she should wear collared dresses like the white one above, - it emphasises her pear shape because it elongates her top half...she has the Claire Danes effect going....

My biggest qualm with the film was the very uninteresting Matthew MacFadyen. I spent the entire movie trying to recast the role of Darcy in my head (and trying very hard not to think immediately of Colin Firth).

I simply can't watch any one else in the role of Darcy I haven't seen the new version, but I wish they'd make a version of the novel where they actually draw on some of Austen's humour, P&P always seemed like the perfect satire of English society to me

I wish she would stop pouting like that. It doesn't seem like it was a habit of hers a few months ago. It makes me wonder what fool is running around Hollywood and teaching innocent actresses to make duck faces (eg MKA and now Keira).
