^ You're welcome! I wish more 'journalists' would concentrate on her positive actions and attitude- it gets a bit annoying hearing the other stuff always being the theme of so many articles about her...

One more reason to love her- she has such understanding and respect for the greats who have come before! (Personal Note: I met Tony Bennett when I was working at Harrah's Casino a few years back; hands down one of the nicest gentleman I have ever met! Pure class, what a lovely man!):flower:

Lady Gaga faces new lawsuit over Judas plagiarism claims

By Mike Larkin

She is already in the midst of a lawsuit over claims she profited from charity wristbands she sold to raise funds for Japanese tsunami victims.
Now it looks like Lady Gaga’s lawyers are going to be working overtime after the superstar singer was sued for plagiarism.
A vocalist called Rebecca Fancescatti is claiming her hit song Judas is a rip-off of her own 1999 tune Juda.

Sue must be kidding: Judas star Lady Gaga s being sued over claims the song was copied from a little known singer

The singer has filed a lawsuit at federal court in a bid to win damages from the multi-millionaire star.
Fancescatti believes the similarities between the two songs are not a coincidence because her former bass player Brian Gaynor is now employed by a music company that wrote 17 songs on Gaga's recent Born This Way album.
Her lawyer Chris Niro told TMZ: ‘Though the songs are different styles, the composition is the same and the chorus is the same melody.

Who is that? Little known singer Rebecca Francescatti has launched a lawsuit against the more popular Lady Gaga

‘[Rebecca] is seeking recognition for what she created.'
Francescatti, who sings under the name Rebecca F, is suing for unspecified damages.
The MailOnline got in touch with Lady Gaga’s publicist, but so far has received no reply.
It will be the second lawsuit the singer will be fighting in the space of two months.
In June she was sued by U.S. consumer attorneys 1-800-Law-Firm for profiting from the sale of $3.99 'We Pray for Japan' bracelets.
However the star’s spokeswoman Holly Shakoor said the lawsuit was frivolous.
She said: 'This misguided lawsuit is without merit and unfortunately takes attention away from the kind deeds of the fans around the world who are supporting the people of Japan.
'The entire five dollar donation made with the purchase of each bracelet is going to support the disaster relief.
'Lady Gaga has personally pledged her own funds to this cause and continues to support the victims of the disaster.'
Judas has been in the top ten in charts around the world, and has went platinum in Australia.
However it was controversial because the music video portrayed the New York singer as Mary Madeline and its lyrics are stuffed with Christian references.

Blasphemous: It is not surprising Christian groups have slammed the Judas video for being offensive

Bill Donahue, president of The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rightssaid: "This is a stunt. Lady Gaga tries to continue to shock Catholics and Christians in general.
‘She dresses as a nun, she swallows the rosary. She has now morphed into a caricature of herself.
‘She is trying to rip off Christian idolatry to shore up her talentless, mundane and boring performances.
‘Another ex-Catholic whose head is turned around. Is this the only way to jet up her performance? This isn't random, we are getting closer to Holy Week and Easter.’

^ "her talentless, mundane and boring performances..."

Well, that's certainly easy to verify...let's see here...

Awards and nominations- Totals Awards won: 120 (including 5 Grammys), Nominations: 254

Of course this doesn't count the recent 3 Emmy Award nominations for her HBO Special... She really is putting one over on everyone, having no talent and all...

I don't follow her, but I did see her on the talk show last night, inadvertently as I was flipping channels.

Has she had plastic surgery or not?

She was cute on The View. Just watched the videos. Her song ( the one she sang on the view) reminds me sooooo much of old Elton John - my god!

She won so many awards!:o
Some people just want to take advantage of her fame and money that comes with. She was also sued by her former boyfriend who claimed he inspired her for writing the Paparazzi song. Whatever.

Love that article you posted, Boomer. Thanks! :flower:

I can't at the chick who is suing. It's a shame really but Teja is correct, it's part of the price of such fame.
